Add-ons allow you to customize Firefox to your liking by either improving your browsing experience in an infinite number of ways or changing the appearance of your browser such as how you would change the background picture of your desktop. We'll show you the various ways you can get and install add-ons to Firefox.

Browse for add-ons
Browsing for add-ons is a great way to discover ones you never knew you needed.
- At the top of the Firefox window, click on the

Search for add-ons
If you have an idea of what add-on you want to install or know it by name you can search for it within Firefox.

- On the top-right corner of the browser, enter the search term for the add-on you would like to search for and press Enter on your keyboard or click on the Search symbol.
- Once you have found the add-on you want to use, simply click the button on the right side of the screen.
- After the add-on is installed, you may be prompted to restart Firefox; click Restart now to begin using the add-on.
Install an add-on from a file
If you have an add-on in the form of a file downloaded from the Internet, you can install it this way.
- At the top of the Firefox window, click on the button and then select .

To remove an add-on take the following steps:
