This article describes how to generate a secure password in Firefox version 74 and above.
When creating a new account on a website, it can be difficult to think of a unique and secure password. When signing up for a new account on a website, Firefox can generate a secure password for you.
Tip: Remember not to reuse passwords between sites or have a password that is easy to guess, click here to learn more about how to create a secure password.
To generate a new password
- Click on the password field.
- Open the Context Menu for this field with a right click secondary click (also known as Control click or two finger click).
- Select
- Firefox will generate a password. Click
- Firefox will save the password for this website in Lockwise. The password can then be retrieved to confirm the password.
