Where can I find my Firefox Sync Key?

Do these steps in Firefox on a computer that already has your Sync account set up.

1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button and select Settings. . In the OptionsPreferences window, click on the Sync tab.
2. In the Firefox Sync Account section, click Manage Account and then choose My Sync Key.
   
   A window displaying your Sync Key will open.
   
   It's a good idea to print or save your Sync Key so that you can access your information even when you are away from this computer.

I've lost my Sync Key, what can I do?

If you don't have a copy of your Sync Key saved anywhere or or a computer that is already synced (in this case see How do I choose what information to sync on Firefox?) and want to use Sync without creating a new account, you can generate a new Sync Key.

1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button and select Settings.
2. Click on the Sync tab.
3. Click Set up Firefox Sync and a new window will open.
4. Under I already have a Firefox Sync account, click Connect
5. Click I don't have the device with me
6. Enter your account email address and password
7. Click on "I've lost my other device"
8. A new Sync Key will be made for you. Please take a moment to print it out or save it on your computer. Then click Change Sync Key
   
9. You will see the Setup Complete screen. Click FinishDone to close the setup window and take you back to the Sync panel.

How do I recover my password?

In order to recover your password follow this steps.

1. Visit the Account Portal
2. Click on Forget your password?
3. Enter your username (this is the email address you used to sign in) and the two words of the image.
4. Click on Email Reset Key
5. You will receive and email with a link. Click on it.
6. A new page will be open. Type twice your new password.
7. Click on Change My Password

You are ready to go. Remember to update your passwords in all your synced devices.

How do I change my password?

1. (In Firefox for desktop) Click the menu button to open the menu panel.
2. Click your Mozilla account name or email address (or click Sign in).
3. Click Manage Account
   • Alternatively, go to Mozilla account Sign in.
4. On the Mozilla account page, scroll down to the Security section and click the Change button next to Password.
5. Follow the steps to enter your old and new passwords, then click Save to finish.

I’ve lost my username. How can I recover it?

Unfortunately at this stage there’s no way of recovering your username even if you have your Sync key. You would need to create a new account following the steps described in How do I set up Sync on my computer?
