Where are all of the controls?
To save space on your device's display, Firefox's browser controls are stowed away on the sides of the screen. You can access them by swiping your finger left or right.
- Swipe right to show your tabs and the button.

How do I open a new tab?

Where are all of the controls?
The two main controls you'll use most often are the Title bar and the Tab.
Tap the Title bar to open your Bookmarks, history, and top sites lists. Select a web site to visit, or type the name of the site or search term you want to find.

Firefox for mobile provides tools and features to help you stay safe and feel secure online on your mobile device.
- Keep your browser up-to-date.
An important part of staying safe online is updating your browser regularly for security improvements. With Firefox, you get updates every six weeks that inherit all of the security updates we develop for desktop Firefox. So, you get the benefit of the 450 million users who depend on Firefox for security on their desktops when you use Firefox mobile. If there is a security threat out there, chances are we know about it and we'll get a fix into Firefox mobile sooner than other mobile browsers will.
- Avoid providing personal information (passwords, credit cards, addresses, etc.) to sites that are unfamiliar to you. Only use trusted bookmarks for logging into sites and look for the padlock icon in the Firefox Title bar before entering credentials.

Firefox mobile includes anti-malware and anti-phishing technology that are built into the browser at no expense to your privacy. This means that we can protect you from web sites that are known to be malicious, but we won't track your browsing for advertising purposes.
