Firefox keeps asking me for Primary Password

If you’re using AVG Internet Security, its certificate might be causing Firefox to ask you for a master password every time you start Firefox. To resolve this problem, you must deactivate your master password and reactivate it: #[[Template:optionspreferences]] #Click ''Privacy & Security'' in the left panel. #Under ''Logins and Passwords'' section, remove the checkbox next to ''Use a master password''. #Close Firefox. #Repeat steps 1 through 2 above and reactivate a master password by selecting the checkbox next to ''Use a master password'' (use a previous or different password). #Close Firefox. When you reopen Firefox, it should not ask you for your master password again.

1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button and select Settings.
2. Click Privacy & Security in the left panel.
3. Under Logins and Passwords section, remove the checkbox next to Use a master password.
4. Close Firefox.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 2 above and reactivate a master password by selecting the checkbox next to Use a master password (use a previous or different password).
6. Close Firefox.

When you reopen Firefox, it should not ask you for your master password again.
