If you have the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) developer option - 'Don't keep activities' enabled, Firefox for Android will currently fail to properly load pages as this developer option has unintentional consequences. Keeping this Android system setting enabled is strongly not recommend as it may result in undesireable behaviour for Firefox on Android and for other Android applications. It is strongly advised to disable this Android system setting.
- To disable this setting in Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) visit the Android settings (Settings), scroll down and select and tap on Developer options
- The Android Developer Options settings menu should appear
- Scroll down the listing of settings and uncheck the checkbox for 'Don't keep activities'
- The item 'Don't keep actictivies' should be unchecked.
- Shut-down Firefox for Android if it is running by returning back to Firefox and tapping the menu on the upper right hand side, and selecting 'Quit'
- Firefox should be close. You can then relaunch Firefox and Firefox should behave normally
