It's often important to know what version of Firefox you are using, to help you troubleshoot a problem or just to know if Firefox is up to date. Here are two ways to find out.
- Click the menu button , and select help
- Select
. The About Firefox window will appear. The version number is listed underneath the Firefox name.
- On the menu bar, click the
menu and select . The About Firefox window will appear. - Look under the Firefox name for the version number.
Note: Opening the About Firefox window will check for updates. If a newer version of Firefox is available, it will be automatically downloaded. To turn off this behavior, see Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox.
- Alternatively, click the menu button , click help and select Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues. . A page with the address about:support will appear in a new tab. Your Firefox version is listed underneath the Application Basics section of the page. For more information, see
