It's often important to know what version of Firefox you are using, to help you troubleshoot a problem or just to know if Firefox is up to date. Here are two ways to find out.

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, and select help Help-29

  2. Select About Firefox. The About Firefox window will appear. The version number is listed underneath the Firefox name.

Note: Opening the About Firefox window will check for updates. If a newer version of Firefox is available, it will be automatically downloaded. To turn off this behavior, see Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox.
  • Alternatively, click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A page with the address about:support will appear in a new tab. Your Firefox version is listed underneath the Application Basics section of the page. For more information, see Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.
