There are lots of great add-ons that you can install to add features to Firefox. This article explains how to find, install and manage add-ons in Firefox for Android.

How do I find and install add-ons?

You can browse through and search for add-ons right inside of Firefox.

  1. To start, swipe to the left and tap the Gear button located on the bottom, right side of the screen.
  2. Select the add-ons (puzzle piece) tab and scroll down to see an add-ons search bar and a list of popular add-ons .
  3. To install an add-on, tap to select it and then tap Add to Firefox.

  4. Some add-ons require Firefox to be restarted and will present you with a Restart button. Others don't require a restart and will just notify you that they've been installed.

How do I update, change options or remove add-ons?

Once you've got add-ons installed you can manage them from the add-ons screen.

  • Update your existing add-ons by tapping the Update button located at the top of the add-on screen.
  • Tap an installed add-on to reveal its Options, Disable and Uninstall buttons.

How do I find and install add-ons?

You can access the Android add-ons from inside Firefox for Android

  1. Tap the Menu button (either at the bottom right on some devices or in the upper right of the browser) .
  2. Tap the Tools menu item (you may need to tap More first) .
  3. Tap the Add-ons menu item.
  4. Tap the green Puzzle icon in the upper-right of the Add-ons manager screen. Alternatively you could go directly to https://addons.mozilla.org/android/ to achieve the same result.
