Firefox for iOS has a Tracking Protection feature that uses a list provided by Disconnect to identify and block trackers.
Turn Tracking Protection on or off
Tracking Protection is enabled by default for additional privacy. To turn it on or off for all websites:
- Tap the menu button at the bottom of the screen on your iPhone or at the top right of the screen on your iPad. (You might need to scroll all the way to the top of the page for the menu button to appear).

Turn Tracking Protection off or on in normal or private mode
Follow these steps to turn it off or on in either normal browsing or private mode.
- Tap the menu button at the bottom of the screen on your iPhone or at the top right of the screen on your iPad. (You might need to scroll all the way to the top of the page for the menu button to appear).
- Tap the Settings icon in the menu panel at the bottom of the screen. (You might need to swipe to the next panel first.)
- Scroll to the Privacy section and tap
- Tap the switch next to the mode you want to change (blue means enabled):
- Normal Browsing Mode: Turn Tracking Protection off or on in regular browsing.
- Private Browsing Mode: Turn Tracking Protection off or on for private tabs only.
Temporarily disable Tracking Protection
If you having problems with a site loading, try disabling Tracking Protection for the current tab by long-pressing the refresh button .
Turn Tracking Protection off for specific websites only
A website can be whitelisted (exempted) so it will always load without Tracking Protection by long-pressing the URL bar (or tapping the shield icon in the URL bar).
You can also re-enable Tracking Protection using the same method.
