Autofill logins on Firefox

Firefox can automatically save and fill in your login information so you wouldn't have to enter them every time.

Enable/disable login autofill

  1. Click the menu button Fx89menuButton to open the menu panel.
  2. Click Logins and Passwords.
  3. Click the Firefox logins menu Three dot menu, then click OptionsPreferences.

  4. Add a checkmark next to Autofill logins and passwords to enable it, or uncheck to disable it.
  1. Click the Firefox Lockwise icon.

  2. Click the Firefox logins menu Three dot menu, then click OptionsPreferences.

  3. Add a checkmark next to Autofill logins and passwords to enable it, or uncheck to disable it.

Save passwords automatically

To change whether or not Firefox offers to remember passwords (this is on by default):

  1. Click the menu button Fx89menuButton to open the menu panel.
  2. Click Logins and Passwords.
  3. Click the Firefox logins menu Three dot menu, then click OptionsPreferences.

  4. Add a checkmark next to Autofill logins and passwords to enable it, or uncheck to disable.

  3. Add a checkmark next to Autofill logins and passwords to enable it, or uncheck to disable.
To manage your saved logins, click the Saved Logins button to open Firefox Lockwise, the password manager.

Disable autosave for specific websites

  1. Click the menu button Fx89menuButton to open the menu panel.
  2. Click Logins and Passwords.
  3. Click the Firefox logins menu Three dot menu, then click OptionsPreferences.

  4. Click the Exceptions... next to Ask to save logins and passwords for websites.
  5. Add the website's URL.
  6. Click Save Changes.

To prevent Firefox from saving logins and passwords for a certain website:

  1. Click the Firefox Lockwise icon.

  3. Click the Exceptions... next to Ask to save logins and passwords for websites.
  4. Add the website's URL.
  5. Click Save Changes.
