You can search the Web from the address bar or you can change your search settings in Firefox to use a separate Search bar.

Follow these steps to add a Search bar to your Firefox toolbar:

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Click Search on the left panel.
  3. Click Add search bar in toolbar.

  4. The template "closeoptionspreferences" does not exist or has no approved revision.
Tip: Here's another way to add or remove the Search bar: Click the menu button Fx57Menu, choose 57customize-icon.png Customize…, drag the search bar into or out of the toolbar and then click Done. See Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars for details.
