This article applies to new installs of the new Firefox Quantum (version 57).

When you install Firefox Quantum (version 57), you might see your search bar and your address bar combined into a single bar. If you prefer separate address and search bars, you can restore the search bar by following these steps:

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (or Preferences, in some cases).Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Click Search on the left panel.
  3. Click Add search bar in toolbar.
