Hello,

Basically twitch website broke this morning as shown by someone here https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/10z79y0/why_cant_i_claim_points_or_follow_anyone/ .
Would anyone know how to fix this problem? I have fixed some problems by editing the advanced firefox settings before but I did that by following a guide and I have to idea how to fix this.
Regards

Can you give more detail about what goes wrong ?

Can you attach a screenshot?

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection

You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:

You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> [X] Cached Web Content -> Clear

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

More detail is in the reddit post I linked it's not just me who has this problem. But basically I can't interact with anything. I can't claim channel points, can't spend them, can't follow, unfollow, I can view messages and notifications but they still appear as not read. This just happened at some time last day nothing was installed or uninstalled or anything changed.
I disabled all extensions and tried again but as it was already said in the linked reddit post the problem is with the browser. Of course I don't know if it's firefox that has to make it work or is it from twitches side that it has to be fixed. Either way I was wondering if some one is aware what's the problem and maybe know what to disable or change in the advanced settings to fix this since I assume regardless of who has to fix I don't think anyone will?
