If I visit the website www.silviadesimone.it (I am the webmaster) through Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, I can see the visit counter in the left bottom corner of the page. If I use Mozilla Firefox (that is the browser that I normally use) the visit counter does not appear. According to the ShinyStat helpdesk it could depend on some Firefox plugin that does not allow the counter to show. Can you help me? Thank you

I am using thunderbird on the Win 11 desktop. If I minimize the thunderbird program's window, does it continue to run when the computer sleeps? If I close the thunderbird program's window, does that stop the program?

Every time I run Thunderbird, it appears to lose its IMAP connection(s) after 10-15 minutes. I've tried varying the number of cached connections from 1 to 10 with no difference in behavior.

Restarting Thunderbird will restore connectivity temporarily, until the entire process starts over again.

It seems to be correlated to saving a copy of sent messages. The sending process times out while the message is being saved to the Sent folder after the SMTP sending is complete.

Once this happens, new mail doesn't appear, moving mail between folders has no effect, and some (but not all) messages can't be retrieved from the server.

This is an odd one I've not encountered before. I have TB installed on 2 laptops at home. They are up-to-date with 128.6.0 installed, and both are using the same wi-fi system.

All of a sudden a few days ago, TB on one of the laptops, but not the other, became noticeably slow in deleting messages. It now takes a few seconds for what before always happened instantly (and still does on the other laptop).

Not the end of the world but it's annoying and I'm hoping there's an easy fix.

Thunderbird, quite suddenly, stopped getting my email; Both on my account and my wife's account at the same ISP. I spent more than two hours on the phone with the ISPs help line trying to resolve this issue. They also use Thunderbird at their help desk, and the agent I talked to was familiar with your program. She (the agent) was not able to replicate the issue on their system. We then tried to set up a NEW email account. I carefully entered all the info needed for a new account, following instructions from the agent, then hit the 'Test' button. I got the following message onscreen: "THUNDERBIRD FAILED TO FIND SETTINGS FOR YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT" The answer to the original issue suddenly became very clear - Thunderbird cannot, or refuses to, connect with the email server, therefore NO EMAIL. We tried everything in her toolkit to resolve the problem to no avail. We finally tried UNINSTALLING Thunderbird (and the Maintaince program). Once Uninstalled, I used the Registry Tool on CCleaner to remove any entries in the registry referring to Thunderbird (there were several), then restarted my computer. I then downloaded and installed a totally NEW Thunderbird program. When I ran the Thunderbird again, I found all my account(s) info was still present, and Thunderbird was still unable to find the server. I'm at my wits end trying to resolve this issue, and REALLY HATE to go back to Microsoft OUTLOOK to get my email. Anybody got any ideas??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Signed) Proteus

My Samsung laptop uses Microsoft Outlook and it just froze my gptucha@comcast emails on the laptop (but not Samsung S23 phone). This after a failed effort to start a 1password account that refused for transfer saved passwords from Firefox, and also won't let Firefox use saved PWs to open sites. This remains a problem even after theoretically deleting the 1password account from phone (a success) and laptop (partial success; icons still appear and require manual PW entries by me. I'm confused about the FF and Duck-Duck interface and maybe I should delete Duck-Duck if FF provides the same amenities and privacy? -- Greg gregoryptucha@gmail.com

Greetings. I have Windows 10 Home and have used Firefox for my primary browser for many years. I recently noted that by opening Firefox and looking at my task manager it shows 14 processes running. This causes my memory usage to jump significantly from the 50's into the 70's. The performance on searches,etc. seems okay. I recently added Browser Guard and was wondering if that was the reason for the jump in memory usage. As a side note I ran an update on Onedrive and now I have a white circle with a check mark on the desktop shortcut that I use for Firefox ... when I am in my Thunderbird email, recently, when I go to delete emails, I can only go a few and the system stops and the top bar states "not responding" for a minute or so, and then allows me to continue. But that also freezes after additional actions in deleting emails. This slows the operation of the system and I want to recognize what it is, eliminate it and allow the Thunderbird to continue to operate the way it has done for years.

Hello everyone,

Previously, it was possible to configure Firefox so it would stay in the background while opening tabs from links activated in other apps. Thus, said apps would stay in the foreground until Firefox is called to the front.

The desired result was achieved by editing the setting `browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground` in "about:config", which is no longer available.

If such a configuration is yet possible, how is it achieved?

I like to read our local paper, the San Diego UT, but the scroll wheel no longer works in Firefox. Works with other browsers. Is there something in settings that can correct this?

I am multi-layout language keyboard user. During editing text in javascript textbox (such as editing sheet name in Google sheets) in Firefox, when I pressed win-space to switch language:

1. expected behavior: I can continue editing my text with keyboard layout switched

What happened instead:

1. keyboard layout is switched 2. a space character is added the to the text. and got popped out of text editing mode

Is there anything I can do about this issue? Please help.

We are encountering an issue with how document.referrer behaves in Firefox. In our application, we track the source of traffic using document.referrer. While this functionality works consistently in Safari and Chrome, it does not produce the expected results in Firefox most of the time. For comparison:

   In Safari and Chrome, document.referrer reliably provides the referring URL, as expected.
   In Firefox, the value is often empty or incorrect, leading to inconsistent tracking results.

I’ve attached a screenshot that demonstrates the issue for your reference.

Issue Details with Screenshots:

   Direct URL Open (Expected Behavior)
   In the first screenshot, we directly open the URL. As expected, document.referrer is empty because there is no referrer when the URL is opened directly.

   In the second screenshot, we click on a link from within our site. When we check document.referrer in the file, it still shows as empty, which is incorrect. The referrer should reflect the URL of the linking page.

I have have just come across this information and have no idea what add on it is referring to. I'm not one that uses much in the way off add ons. Here I am, 79 next month. I have only my desktop PC. I don't own/use a mobile phone, ipad or any other devices. I use my PC for emails and using the net for research, general information, buying products, ecards etc. I play a couple of games, Lovatts puzzles (3 games), jigzone, word wipe from Washington Post. If I have taken on/used an add on it was with limited knowledge and it certainly was not my intention to cause any problem. Does the block also mean that I am not protected from viruses or malware etc? Please let me know the outcome of your decision. Thanking you in advance. For about a year I have, several times, tried to use a link or a pop up that doesn't work in Firefox but can be accomplished in Safari. Today, I used a credit card to pay for something on the UFT.org website. It worked. I needed to make another purchase on the same website and page but I got a message that there was an error with my credit card info. I tried again. I tried another credit card. I signed out and back in and repeated everything and still got the same message. I copied the url, went to Safari, pasted the url, entered my info and was successful in making the payment. I am using Firefox 133.0.3. What might be happening to cause these problems?

My Thunderbird client stop receiving email from the ATT account sometime late December. I don't check email every using Thunderbird client. I've since have created a new secure mail key using ATT site. This solved problem in prior years. I also change the server names from pop.att.yahoo.com to inbound.att.net and from smtp.att.yahoo.com to outbound.att.net and I still can't download email. I don't see any message in the bottom status bar/area.

Since yesterday Thunderbird keeps crasing. I don't even have time to go see if an update was added. It crashes within a few seconds all the time. Any ways to fix it?
