Another API Example

  1. Disclaimer: Ugly web page ahead.

I created a page for monitoring updates to threads you have started or replied in: https://jeffersonscher.com/sumo/myq.php

On your first visit, it should redirect to a page to save your username in DOM Storage: https://jeffersonscher.com/sumo/pref.php You also can set a different local for links if you do not read threads on en-US.

After the initial load of the 60 most recently updated questions you have started or replied to, the list is updated every 3 minutes by polling the 20 most recently updated threads. Questions with updates are moved to the top of the list.

You can preview the answers on the right. Unfortunately, I don't have a mechanism to mark an answer as read. As a workaround, I'm currently using the Link Visitor extension so I can right-click > Toggle Visited Status as a way to check off the last answer (the "Latest Reply" link then is gray instead of red).

Privacy note: These pages are not wired up to any analytics services, but there is conventional web server logging.
