Does anyone know how set the first day of the week for Monday, like everyone does?

This is ridiculous not finding it in the settings tab. Many people ask the same question here and the feature gets buried in every new iterations. I don't know anyone who starts the day on Sunday.

Mozilla, we love you. I've been using you since the mid-90s but these idiosyncrasies are a good reason to switch to Evolution. Can we do away with this none sense?

Since last week, with no change in settings, I cannot send any messages and get the note: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.aueb.gr failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." I've contacted my server host and they told me to change settings, but the issue persists. I am sending you my smtp server configurations (2 consecutive- none works) , antivirus version and thunderbird version. I am using windows 10. What else can I do?

When I click the 'Junk' button, everything works as expected, the email gets moved to the 'Junk' folder, but the 'Junk' button simply switches to 'Non Junk'. Then, when I click it again on another junk email, that email gets moved to the Junk folder as expected, but the 'Not Junk' button gets changed back to 'Junk'. So, the 'Junk' and 'Not Junk' buttons simply swap out on each click.

How can I keep a TB address book and my Android smartphone contacts (the ones on contacts.google.com, NOT Gmail ones) in sync, so any addition to one will show up on the other too?

(My email clients are of course TB on my Windows 10 desktop, and a downloaded app [NOT the standard Google one] on my Android smartphone. My email server is an ISP's IMAP server [NOT a Google server:-]. On my Android phone I use the regular Google "contacts" program, which correctly synchronizes to https://contacts.google.com. And I'm using the 64-bit version of TB 102.13.0.)

The vast majority of the recipes I can find do not work at all, probably either because they assume Gmail is somehow involved (it's NOT), or because https://contacts.google.com does not offer the expected services (as Gmail does), or because they do their job once and quit, rather than keeping the two lists in sync in perpetuity.

The recipe that seemed to do the best didn't involve either TB or Android at all, but rather involved going to Windows 10 Setup->Accounts->Email and Accounts->Add an account->Google. Unfortunately every time I clicked on the big 'G', it would appear to be doing something for a while (10 seconds?), but then simply quit with no error message and no changes to the list of accounts (i.e. the desired new Google account was _not_ created.)

why, on a regular basis, when I open Thunderbird does it show a "done" message or "Null" and not access the mail server...This results in my having to restart my desktop after which it then connects and down loads emails. I am happy with the Thunderbird mail set up and have donated twice... I am hesitant to donate again while this issue persists. Mark Morrissey [removed phone# from public]

I have several email addresses, some are POP and others are IMAP. On one of my IMAP accounts, I have Junk, Known Spam, Sent Spam, Suspect Email and Virus Blocker folders, along with the usual Inbox, Drafts,Sent and Trash folders. I'd like to remove the Sent Spam and Known Spam folders but can't find a way to do so as Thunderbird won't allow it. I can delete subfolders I've created, but not these. Help anyone?

security.tls.version.min - is this for SSL ot TLS?

Hi, I have been using Thunderbird to set up an SMTP email account. I have it working now, but one of the steps I took to get it to work was to edit the Thunderbird configuration. I changed security.tls.version.min from 3 to 1. I have changed it back to 3 now and my email account is continuing to work. TO me this suggests that security.tls.version.min is setting another variable somewhere that is not listed in the config. I am also confused why TLS would have a min version value of 3 by default. The latest version of TLS is 1.3 (at time of writing this). Is the tls.version.min also being used for SSL - which does in fact have a version 3.0? I just thought I should bring this to your attention because there seems to be a lot of talk in other forums about changing the tls.version.min to 1 to fix issues, and that doesn't work for all other issues and reducing the min version can create new issues - especially if my suspicion is correct, that it is also being used for SSL - ie security certificates. If this is the case, as a feature update, should SSL and TLS be given their own version config parameters in Thunderbird? Cheers, Ben

Good Morning

On my old PC I can still change the subject line of an email in 'Edit Mail Subject'.

This won't work on a new laptop with 102.13.0. Might you advise on an add-on I can download......or an alternate way of editing the subject line prior placing email in folder or forwarding on?

Many thanks

I installed Thunderbird on a new computer and connected it to an existing email account. Shortly afterward it moved a large number of emails out of folders into the Junk folder and marked them as junk. It has ruined my organization of saved emails.

I don't understand why Junk processing reached into folders and not just the Inbox.

How can I fix this?
