On the newest version of Firefox after a full uninstall/reinstall - problem started last night. New install of Firefox didn't sync with my email, but after linking it on desktop via QR code, old passwords were reinstated. opened password manager again, and the problem where my phone accepts the pin or fingerprint, opens password menu for <2 seconds, then asks for pin or fingerprint again.

Menu is also slower than usual to load, causes the phone to hang on a black Firefox background colour screen when loading and only able to be forced to quit if I go back to the home screen, passwords menu comes back on screen if I don't force quit the app (back button goes back to blank passwords screen then asks for login again, android back button does the same.

Hello all. I am experiencing 2 problems with sync. First is the older issue. I have new phone, an S24, with a similar problem that the old phone had. It is showing up under devices, unlike the old phone, an A71, but, it isn't syncing with my other 2 devices, just like the old phone. The newer issue is, while I was trying to fix the sync issue, I lost all of my tabs {for my S24}. My history & bookmarks are there, but not the tabs.

My other 2 devices are synced with each other, for quite a while now. They are: a Galaxy Tab 7 & an HP windows 11. They stay at home. My phone goes with me. I have tried a whole list of steps; this list is not in order:

  • restarted all 3 devices.
  • closed all tabs on S24.
  • updates are on auto; Firefox just updated on all 3.
  • checked all settings for S24. The other 2 devices are fine here.
  • closed/reopened app on S24.
  • signed out/back in on app on S24.
  • uninstalled/reinstalled on S24, after I deleted the cache, not data.
  • then I had trouble signing back in, finally, it worked.

Does anyone have any suggestions? The S24 does not show up at all on The Tab 7, but it does, without the name, on the laptop. It also shows up under Firefox's list. All 3 are using the same wifi/network, the same internet security, the same password manager, & the same vpn, which has the same dedicated vpn. I admit to having a separate issue with the dedicated, which is affecting the laptop & S24. Idk if this has anything to do with anything.

Firefox had been repeatedly prompting 'Open in another APP' , but then I found there was a setting in the latest version , Sooooo I have set the 'Open links in apps' to Never , and I lasted a day before it prompted again for the to take me to the PlayStore to install the Freeview APP having left the Freeview TV guide web page.

Is there no way to stop it ?

"Features" i easily can disable in Desktop Version either one Unix or win x86_am64 or addons. This ist the exact oposite!!! I do Not need any Security or invalid Adresse warning or Blocks, Just give me the ability to do the Same as in Desktop... About:config or Just Go directly to the Adresse i Put ineither IP Adresse or without HTTPS. Just give me a APK or a download Link to geht IT in my own, without all the useless bs. I have Firefox installed on a few devices including my two phones, as well as it being my primary Windows desktop browser.

My older phone is currently running 121.0 #2015991663 and sync works fine.

My primary phone is running the latest version from Gplay store 135.0 #2016070975 and nothing I do can persuade it to sync.

I tried logging out of my Mozilla account on the phone, clearing cache, closing all tabs and restarting the device. It now persistenly says Last synchronised: never

It simply will not sync.

My contract with Plusnet is due to expire so I renewed it. P would not accept my password as it did not meet their standards. I added a symbol but now I am unable to sign in to Thunderbird. I have checked all my settings which have not changed except the password but still I cannot sign in to get emails. I have both the beta Thunderbird for Android and the k9 clients on my phone but hadn't realised they were not interchangable, so I got a surprise when I opened via the blue icon and deleted an email and there was no 'are you sure you want to delete' or deletion options dialogue on the thunderbird version. The K9 still asks to confirm delete, but the thunderbird only has three options in the settings and I cant find any setting to turn on the dialogue.

If I'm not missing something (maybe I missed an update), I suggest this needs copying over from K9.
