In the past, when I clicked the small download arrow at the top right of my page, a window opened that had all of my downloads in it. I was able to then select "clear all downloads" and they would go away. For some reason, now when I click on the small arrow, a window opens up called "library" and it is empty with no option to clear the downloads. I have attached photos. Please help. The first photo is when I click the small arrow; I can see the downloads. The second photo is the window that opens when I click "show all downloads." There is nothing there and no where for me to empty the downloads.

Persistent cookies from web sites are not properly clearing in Firefox iOS. When I finish web browsing I always go to Settings-Data Management-Web Site Data-Clear All Web Site Data. I also Clear Private Data. Then, when I close the Firefox app on my iPad and open it up again, some Web Site Data is still present! This is very frustrating because there is no way of analyzing what is going on in iOS. Sometimes the process does seem to clear all the Web Site Data. But then in subsequent sessions some persistent cookies, from websites that I haven't visited again, suddenly reappear. This problem also occurs when Private Browsing too . This does not happen on Firefox on my Windows PC, probably because I have more control with a PC and use CCleaner after every session, which deletes Firefox Internet Cache, Internet History, Cookies etc. Can somebody from Mozilla please explain the 'hit and miss' functionality of clearing Web Site Data in Firefox iOS? It's driving me mad!! Currently using Version 28.0 (18809).

I updated to Catalina earlier this year and currently running version 10.15.6 on my 1 year old iMac. A few months ago I noticed problems with Firefox freezing and had to Force Quit often, almost always. Also, after using Firefox, my Mac would not shut down. The spinning fan would just hang. Sometimes it would restart, but the only way to shut down the Mac was to hold the power button. I've tried a number of different suggested solutions, including removing the one extension I was using; AdBlock. I cleaned the cache. I reset Firefox to default settings. Unistalled then reinstalled Firefox. Also, unplugged my external hard drive that was using Time Machine. Nothing has worked. Finally, I stopped using Firefox altogether and started using Safari. It's been over a week now and absolutely no problems, so I can only conclude that Firefox is not compatible with Catalina, at least on my instance.

A recent cleanup of my MacBook Air may have deleted something it shouldn't have. My display used to go to sleep after being idle for a few minutes, regardless of what I had open. Now I have to put it to sleep manually, which is a nuisance. My Activity Monitor shows that Firefox is "preventing sleep." How do I get Firefox back to its old mild-mannered self?

This site ansers that A SECURE CONNECTION FAILED PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

and I'm advised to inform the website owner but I cannot reach their site! Fortunately I found that using Safari solves the problem. As the site that I'm trying to reach is about paying my taxes, it is very important that I can reach it. How come that Safari can reach a site that Firefox can't and how do I solve this. Is there a backdoor or shortcut to avoid or ignore this problem?

Hello,

I am having trouble accessing to certain websites using my MacBook Pro. The screen shows:

"Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Can someone please help?

Thank you!

I’m running Firefox on an iphone with iOS 13 and an iPad with iPadOS 13. These are my two primary devices.

I’m logged in to Firefox on both with my Firefox login. I have notifications and background app refresh turned on for Firefox on both devices. I have both devices set to share Bookmarks, History and Open Tabs.

I was able to send tabs from one device to another.

I can also see tabs and bookmarks between my iphone and a rasberrypi running Firefox. However, my iPad can not see history, tabs or bookmarks between either my phone or the raspberrypi.

Please help. This is so annoying that I actually went and used safari for a bit. And clearly that’s not optimal.

I just got a new iPad and was excited to start using Firefox on it. To my disappointment, for some reason Sync is not working. When I go to Firefox Settings on the iPad, below "synchronize" it shows "2020-06-20 23:05:56" as the previous sync date. This does not change after I tap on it to sync. For a little while it spins the arrows and says "Synchronizing..." (rough translation as I have language set to Finnish) and then it just shows the same date again.

It has not synced my newest bookmarks from my desktop or Firefox on my Android phone and if I send tabs to the iPad, they never arrive. The curious part is that I got the device on 25th of June, so I haven't even used it on the 20th, which is the previous sync date. It has synced my older bookmarks, but doesn't sync any of the new ones I make. Also when I try to access my (synced) credentials and passwords it just loads forever.

When I go to my Firefox account details on my desktop and view the connected devices, it shows that last activity on the iPad was a few seconds ago. If I change the device name from the iPad, it updates in the list.

The Firefox version on the iPad is 27.0 (18428) and iPadOS version is 13.5.1 which is the latest version. I do not have any restrictions on my network that I know of, I don't use a VPN or proxy and I even enabled background updates for the Firefox app without any help. I tried logging out of Firefox Sync but after logging in I got the same last sync date.

I wonder if this is a bug or if something has gone wrong in my Firefox account.

It keeps on asking me to download the app even though I’ve already downloaded it. I’m trying to access the TOR browser without having to download. I’m using a VPN that offers VPN over onion feature so I should be able to use Firefox to browse TOR. It won’t let me do anything because it thinks that I haven’t downloaded the apps, which I have. Also, it won’t let me download any of the extensions. There are so many problems with this website and how it works with the newest iPad that is out. You would think that a software company would have it together a little bit better than this… I’m disappointed and I’m ready to find an Alternative. I don’t mean for this to sound like a complaint but it’s ridiculous and I am sure that the fire fox team knows it is. The fact that they haven’t fixed this in all of the years they’ve been around is a bit mind-boggling
