Hi, I'm a new user switching from Chrome. I've downloaded Firefox Developer Edition, and it's a fantastic product. I'm really satisfied with it. However, the only thing I can't figure out is how to enable JavaScript editing directly from the developer tools. Could you please let me know if there's a way to do this?

Specifically, when I use the Inspector panel to inspect elements on a webpage, the selected elements are outlined with a blue border instead of being filled with color. This is making it difficult for me to visualize the layout and styling of the elements, and I would prefer to have them filled with color instead.

I have tried to find a solution on my own by searching online, but have not been able to find a clear answer. Could you please advise me on how to change the settings in Firefox Developer Edition so that the Inspector panel highlights elements with a fill color instead of just an outline?

I like to have my browsing history cleared after I quit Firefox, but I found out that this will break the action to open previous windows and tabs.

How to have these two options live together?

When watching youtube or even doing a little task with only one tab the cpu usage from a specific firefox process goes upto 90%. And I have did everything that was given in the following troubleshoot method "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-or-cpu-resources" but still the same result. I tried with troubleshoot mode on with disabling all extensions but the cpu usage was still high. I have also checked with firefox's own task manager tool but there wasn't a single process that was using full cpu. I'll be attaching all screenshots below.

i never received a Firefox account recovery key for my kjmarks@att.net email account. Also I just opened a new Firefox account for [edited email from public] @gmail.com and have not gotten the key. What's going on?

Some of the pages on Amazon.com now load the images and text in different places than normal and some are only partial pages. Anyone know how to fix it?

I receive this error message for several sites that I know are secure (i.e., dvd.netflix.com): "The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified." How do I override this?

Is there a way that I can recover my New Tab page setup (just the new tab page) from a Macrium Reflect backup of my OS disk? I recently did some cleanup that cratered my FireFox profile (developer and beta also). I would like to somehow recover just the New Tab page setup from the os backup. Any solution? After re-starting my iMac the wrong characters appear for non-letter characters such as punctuation, which you can see in the screenshot from the pocket recommendations on the home page, where the issue doesn't appear too bad, but in practice trying to use any site with form inputs asking for email addresses etc. is impossible.

This has happened in the past and I have somehow been able to fix it, but this time nothing I've done helps. (It's only ever Firefox that is affected.)

I have deleted the app and re-installed it. I have cleared cache and cookies. I have cleared all browser history etc. I have tried changing fonts from the defaults. I'm not sure there are any other troubleshooting steps I can take.

I'm using FF developer edition, current version (just re-installed it, but it is always up-to-date, and this has been happening for a year or two). MacOS 12.6.3.

I'm a long-time FF user and until now I've lived with this inconvenience as I've somehow fixed it after troubleshooting steps, but this time I can't stumble upon the solution.

hey, i couldn't find any option for it, so i'm asking here. i switched from chrome to firefox but i noticed that once you reach a certain amount of tabs, you need to start scrolling through your tabs. how do i make it so, that all tabs are visible at once and theres no need for scrolling ? thank you

I've created a Firefox web extension called Context Search. One of the options that it offers is to open Google Search results in the sidebar. However, the search results are truncated and don't fit in the sidebars limited width. I've tried using a mobile user agent, but that doesn't appear to solve the problem. I have no idea how to fix this problem and need some help.

So I I've been holding out upgrading to W11 for some time now, but have to upgrade after being tipped by a friend about ONE convenient feature for multitasking, split apps view and combining it into one tab. So far so good, didn't experience any issue. One complain I have is the gigantic cut, copy, open..etc Tab at the top of the new file explorer. But, again, nothing out of the ordinary.

But when I opened Firefox for the first time after upgrading I noticed a painful delay before actually loading the new pages. At first I thought it was only because I just recently updated the OS, so I leave for few hours and keep working my docs. After going back to browse I still have the same issue. This time I notably irritated because of browsing my regularly checked websites have so much delay now compared to before I upgrade to W11.

Here's the list of thing I tried to fix this issue.

   Clearing caches

   Disabling add ons

   Disable enhanced protection

   Refresh Firefox program

   Updating my chipset driver 

   updating my gfx driver

   Reseting my network.

Nothing I tried above worked.

Again the issue is not internet speed. When I downloaded the AMD drivers, it was 14MBps, quite fast.

Then I open the "task manager" and tick the "always on top" option. I noticed that Firefox is still idling even after I clicked links in my homepage. Firefox only uses 2% of CPU usage. It stays that way for 4-11 seconds (depending on the websites I tested) before eventually ramps up the CPU usage to the percentage I expected to opens a new website.

Anyone knows the answer? Please I'm getting desperate here. I don't want to daily drive chromium forks and would like to keep using Firefox.

Asus vivobook laptop, Ryzen 5 3500u, 16gb 2666mhz ram

hullom snce several days I canot login to my nextcloud anymore, not with any of my different user names. Nextcloud will show a login screen, I can enter my credentials, Firefox will try to connect and after a while present me a fresh empty login screen. On one of my other macs (same OS) Firefox does login ok. After deleting Firefox app and reinstalling Firefox again, the behaviour does not change. Also deleting the stored login names and passwords does not help, deleting a bunch off cookies neither. What else could I do?

Hi! I am hiding the toolbar when browsing web pages to maximize the screen spaces. However, when playing full-screen videos (all HTML5 videos), the lowest part of the video are missing. It seems like that part are squeezed out of the screen. If I uncheck the "hide toolbar" function, it fixed. See the lowest part of the attached image.

I'm using the ff dev edition, 110.0b6, but the bug also happens on my ff 109.0 OS: MacOS 13.2

Several times now when I access my banking site and export data, the exported data is not correct. Sometimes columns are missing or columns are in the wrong order. One time even the display showed missing columns. Another example is when I look up a stock quote, sometimes the numbers from previous days are displayed. Troubleshooting with the site manager we found if I cleared cache and cookies, the problem went away. Everything works for several days, then the problem reappears.

Clearing the cookies is simple enough but then I have to be re-verified on all of the sites that require such and that becomes a real pain. (ie. We are sending you a text, please enter the number to continue)

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both work fine with this site. Please don't make me switch but I will if this continues.
