Hi, I recently upgraded on Debian Linux to Firefox 128.11.0esr. I've begun to encounter an error in handling a login process that requires a Yubikey. Prior to the update if I logged into google or github, after the password prompt those services would request that I insert my security key, and then Firefox would offer a pop-up requesting that I touch my key. Now the behavior is that Firefox doesn't offer a prompt at the security key request screen, instead it seems that something happens immediately and automatically without my ever even entering the physical key into the USB port. Google/github then report that there has been an error in the sign in process without any input from me.
To troubleshoot I entered "Troubleshoot mode.." and tried signing in again with the same results. I've restarted my machine as well.
Ultimately, I've been able to get around this error to access my services by using alternate means of authentication. However I can't anticipate that this will be the case for all of my services.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot? Is there a log I can look to find more info?
All my searches return results for $/USA no GBP/UK

I updated Firefox, and all my bookmarks disappeared, and I can no longer bookmark things, alongside this, websites no longer autofill in and my browsing history is gone. I tried restarting but that did not work.
I just reset my primary password. I don't understand when or how I will set the ne primary password (or receive it from Firefox). What is the procedure?

I've been using an auto-refresh addon for a site I'm on but it forces me to go to the tab to refresh it manually and there's no way to turn it off! I accidentally clicked some kind of check box but it's not there anymore so I can't undo it! I've looked all over Firefox Settings but it's not there! Tried closing and reopening the tab, the browser and but nothing works!

On any video player that has a gradient, it breaks when I full-screen the video, showing as solid semi-opaque bars instead of the intended gradients.
This happens on any video player I've used that has a gradient, and is most noticeable on YouTube due to the double gradient.
It displays normally when I use snipping tool, so apologies for the bad quality on the second image.
I use Ublock Origin and Dark Reader, but this behaviour doesn't change when either is disabled.

Since the update to either 140 or 140.0.1 (not sure because I first noticed it in 140.0.1) the marquee does not scroll in on the page when viewed with Firefox, however it does scroll in Edge so it must be a firefox problem. The site is www.maaccordion.com to see the marquee . It also does not scroll in the latest version (at this writing) of 140.0.2
The scrolling has always worked before and it has been on this page (the home page) for quite a few years. Problem only occurred is one of the updates.
Thanks

Hello, I subscribe to several substacks and, all of sudden, I cannot like, comment, or do anything on substack if I'm using Firefox. None of the buttons respond. I have tried disabling the ad blocker and tracker blocker (I use Badger and Ghostery) but that did not help. If I use a different browser, everything works fine. Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

When using the picture-in-picture feature, the spacebar is meant to be a keyboard shortcut to pause or continue the video. This is shown on the tooltips for the UI elements in the picture-in-picture feature, and on the keyboard shortcuts in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox#w_keyboard-shortcuts
However, what actually happens when I press the spacebar key is it instead activates the last UI element to have been clicked on in the picture-in-picture.
For example, if I have last clicked the fullscreen icon to make the picture-in-picture fullscreen, pressing the spacebar will toggle the fullscreen mode, and not pause or continue the video.

Hi : I have a website that, except for its Index page, is made up entirely of .PDFs. These .PDFs are created from MS Word documents. I noticed that when viewing the site in Firefox, the author of the .PDF pages in the tabs was given as : Microsoft Word [filename]. Accordingly, I made sure the Word files had my name hardcoded into the Info section so that it would be same for all documents I created. I then changed the metadata of the .PDF files to include my name as author and the title of the file. However, 'Microsoft Word [filename]' still appeared in the Firefox tabs. I have no idea where Firefox is getting this information from. Curiously, when I look at my website on Microsoft's Edge browser, the tabs have the correct information : 'Patrick Kearney [filename]'. Any help making Firefox behave in the same way would be much appreciated. I have no desire to switch my browser to Edge or anything else. Thanks in advance.

I have Firefox 140.0.2 . A few days ago I lost all the tabs of my session while using, for the first time, the CSV export of my Pocket saves. Using the Firefox menu in the upper right, I found that there were no previous tabs listed to be restored and all previous windows were empty save for the individual links from my Pocket saves. My search history was also empty although my settings are set to save it. There was nothing to salvage and I gave-up perplexed. Today I am researching. I am learning that earlier sessions can be restored via backups. I've found my "sessionstore-backups" folder and jsonlz4 and baklz4 files. It is here that I get overwhelmed following the written directions in Firefox Help (link text. I stalled at step 5. I looked for video help and couldn't find anything. I would appreciate any assistance with this for me, a non-savvy computer user. Oh, I use a mac if that is relevant. Thanks. Mary

I had a whole bunch of open Firefox tabs and tab groups all carefully arranged just the way I wanted, then somehow a couple of tabs got moved to a new window (don't know how that happened, I didn't click the "Move Tab" and "Move To A New Window" menu options), and when I was trying to figure out how to move them back (not possible, apparently) the original window got accidentally closed -- and with it all my tabs and tab groups! When I reopened Firefox they just weren't there. Aagh! Clicking on History just shows the last tabs I accessed, not the full arrangement of groups and the many other tabs I haven't accessed in awhile but want to keep at the ready.
Can I get all that back? Or was relying on Firefox to organize my online work a bad idea?
