I'm getting double downloads. This is a new problem which may have already started with version 115. I now have 128.4.0esr and the problem didn't go away.

I always check-mark "always ask where to store files" on the setting for downloads. There is a default folder listed, in case I'm not sure where to put a file. I don't know if I'm not being given the choice or if there is no longer a choice but I can't delete the default choice.

My downloads are going to the suggested folder and also to whatever folder I suggest at the time of the download, which is leading to doubled downloads.

This came as a suprise because it's never happened before.

I tried deleting the default folder from settings and it won't delete. I can check or uncheck "Always ask where to store downloads", but I simply lose the option to choose where I want a folder to be stored.

I hope you can tell me how to get back to this either/or option so I don't keep getting doubled downloads.

In the `about:preferences`, when I click on Settings under Network Settings, the dialog is not popping up to proceed and modify the proxies. I even reached out to Firefox's account on X (formerly Twitter), but no response over this matter. Please, help.

I tried to search for it online but i wasn't able to find any because the software i have for firefox now won't let me open some pages on websites because i have a old version firefox software. Page seems to freeze, and mail/google-acces denied out of nowhere. Same message when trying to log in to MyHeritage. Message someone changed phonenumber recently. I didn´t. I am accessing internet via cable to Iphone. No wifi or bluetooth. I suspect someone is trying to get illegitimate access.

For a while now i click on a username box and the drop down menu is full of links relating to the site e.g when i use reddit, the username drop down menu is full of links i have copied in the past and usernames from other sites.

I need help making disappear the lateral bar but looks imposible, I have tried deleting this from customize toolbar but I still see it, I do not want it because it takes space from my really small laptop screen.

This problem started when I updated the laptop and I guess firefox also

I switch between tabs a lot so it is far more efficient for me to have them closest to the browsing window

Hi,

I have a sidebar that appears to be permanent and I cannot make it go away.

I opened firefox, went to reopen the previous session tab with control + shift + t, and my fingers slipped and hit the wrong combo of buttons.

Then this thing appeared. This sidebar. I looked for similar questions on the topic, but it is not the history or bookmarks sidebar that pops up from control + h or control + b. I love hotkeys.

So my question is, how do I disable the dang thing?? I tried going into custom tools, I tried looking into settings, but I really cannot find this. And it seems that other issues are usually to due with bookmarks/history sidebars - which I don't believe to be the issue here..

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have setup a new email address "[edited from public] @btinternet.com on 18thy Nov 24. Too date and despite BT's technical help I have not been able to log onto it

When the latest version is released, if I continue browsing without pressing the update button, the process suddenly becomes slow or freezes until I restart the device. Why is this? There are no problems until the update arrives, but as soon as the update arrives, the device becomes unstable, and after the update, it works as if nothing happened.
