I need to transfer my profile to a new computer (Win 10/11). Unfortunately, the guidance provided - find %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and copy it to a flashdrive - is inadequate.

This location has multiple files. Perhaps for a Firefox designer or programmer, that's not an issue. I'm neither. I need a precise list - with exact names - of the file or files that I need to copy.

Does a "profile" consist of one file or several files? Whichever the answer, what is/are the specific names of those files?

I have an account with MSN and an account with Earthlink. I can't gt mail on Outlook because the Earthlink account needs verification and this process requires me to access my Outlook account and it won't open. I can't get any email today nor can I verify the Earthlink account. What do I do?

I cannot drag the home button to the toolbar to add it ? i do not know why but i can add it to the right side by right clicking and clicking add to toolbar but thats not where i want it. I cant drag anything to add it where i want

Im having an issue with firefox where the tabs keep crashing i cant go a day without the tabs crashing 50-60 times or even the browser itself crashing, ive tried relaunching without addons, with troubleshoot mode on, firefox on a different drive but, it is still crashing, i looked at the error logs and if im reading it right (im not at all knowledgeable in how to debug software) it is always crashing at a point where the module is none and the signature is an address value, I put screen shots of the error reports showing the numerous crashes, before I think its a hardware issue like a bad stick of ram (which i dont think cause i ran memtest 86 test overnight with no errors), a faulty motherboard, or god forbid a faulty cpu and start firing the parts cannon at the issue i want to rule out any software angles for the problem.

When I try to log in to PayPal, all I get is the rotating circle. No further. I have no problem using Edge with PayPal. I can always switch but do not want to. Vern Carlson [removed email from public]

I have a favorite website that wont let me login. It seems this started after the last update by Firefox. When i enter my password, a small little screen pops up saying "OK" but it does not log me in. I have looked everywhere in permissions and made sure im not blocking the website. I would appreciate your ideas and yes i took it a step futher and reloaded Firefox with a new download just to see if it was a setting somehwere I was over looking. Thanks and I love Firefox for it is my favorite browser. The site im trying to get to does open on all 4 of my other browsers.

this is happening all too often these days with links that did not used to have problems

My computer crashed and I had to reset my account. For some reason the password that I was 99% sure was correct didn't work so in order to change my password it said I need an authentication key. I didn't recall getting one of those so I reset my password (even though it said on the screen I would only lose things like passwords and history). I of course lost all my bookmarks that I've been collecting for the last 20 years. And as life goes I've now found the authentication key. My question is can I get anything back now that I have that key or all my bookmarks are forever deleted?

just updated to 115.0.1 on the Mac yesterday and now tradingview website isn't working - i tried adding it as an exception in EnhancedTracking and CookieSiteData like i did with ebay to get it working again but no luck with tradingview... any ideas ? thx

Sometimes when I go to weather.com I get a pop-up that says something to this affect: We've detected that Global Privacy Controls are turned Off yet they were turned On when you previously visited our site. This does not happen every time I go to weather.com. Sometimes it pops up, other times it does not. I think then if offers some buttons to click to turn it On. I just close the site and open it again. When I do sometimes this repeats and sometimes it doesn't. I know next to nothing about this. Firefox Settings it says its version 115.0.1 and that Firefox is up to date. I also have DuckDuckGo Essentials if that makes any difference.

Since the most recent update, my bookmarks menu which I HAVE HAD & PREFER TO HAVE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY SCREEN, has disappeared. How I organized them and had them listed was IMPORTANT to me. What did you do, and how will you fix it?

I've installed Firefox on a new device and I'm having trouble having Firefox sync its bookmarks with my main system [on my win10/pc]. I have logged in and it has no bookmarks. when I open bookmarks is [correctly -- as it did in the past] shows "bookmarks menu", "bookmarks toolbar" and "other bookmarks". None of them has any bookmarks in them. What am I forgetting about having FF sync its bookmarks? thanks

Firefox crashed and now i cannot get to my bookmarks error message "book marks will not work" Ive restated and tried to restore but i keep getting the message need bookmarks for work will get fired if i dont have them

I want to download some files, but it always fails. I discovered this is because there is no selected download location, but when i click "Choose", it doesn't open a file selector, nothing.
