I can install firefox in a 20.04 ubuntu image however I can't get the sound to come out to the host. I think it is because of these messages: oot@lnx01:/# firefox libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. [Child 8724, MediaDecoderStateMachine #1] WARNING: 7fdc1c636ee0 OpenCubeb() failed to init cubeb: file /build/firefox-kPTBHF/firefox-128.0+build2/dom/media/AudioStream.cpp:285

I am using the tainted nvidia driver on my host. Has anyone got this to work? I messed around by adding various mesa drivers to the image with no fix. Any suggestions? I am using the ppa version of firefox in the container.

On a website I sometimes visit, I will occasionally upload images to share. Recently, I was using network access to upload images from a different computer, but that machine started acting up, and so Firefox tries to re-open the shared folder I was using on that other machine if I try to upload a file and cannot connect, so the file selection doesn't show up and I cannot use any other controls, just get the error SFX instead and I have to restart Firefox by closing it using Task Manager in order to restore function. How do I reset what folder it tries to open for file upload so it does not try to open that inaccessible network folder? It softlocks every time now.

When I type the address bar, the text is invisible. In the screenshot provided, I had typed "goog" into the address bar, and the blue bar is the autofill text filling in for "google". I tried changing themes, turning off my extensions, and reinstalling firefox. Any help would be appreciated!

Using Firefox for windows. Have browser set to never save patient's addresses. After clearing cache/cookies on 9/4/24, Firefox is now asking to save addresses. The box to do so remains unchecked. Cleared saved data again, restarted computer and Firefox. Still asks. Do not want to save addresses for every patient payment entered. It is a HIPAA violation waiting to happen. Not to mention, the constant pop-up asking to save is a distraction from accurate patient care & data entry.

I formatted my pc and forgot my password, did a reset. But apparently I lost all my FF data. BUT I'm still "logged in" my Android FF, is there anyway to create a backup using FF on Android then import that to desktop, then re-login Android using the new PW? At the very least, I'd like to recover top 1, bookmarks, 2, logins.

When I try to download an image attachment, it previews the image in the browser where I must right click to "save image as", then click the back button to get back into email. I do not have the option to tell firefox what to do with jpg files in my settings. I have attached a screen grab of my settings. I do not want to switch back to chrome, but since I download images very frequently due to work, I might have to. Please help me figure this out! Thanks for your time -Shawn
