This new SIDEBAR that has appeared this morning. It has taken me an hour of my life to get rid of it. I am so exercised I decided to tell you how annoyed I am that it appeared with no simple way to get rid of it. Obviously designed by someone who has never tried working on a small laptop screen where every inch of visual real-estate is valuable.

Fortunately your support site is so full of other people complaining it had a solution that worked for me. I had already tried myself what the support site described as te recommended method then I discovered the "about:config" option and that has removed it. Never to be seen again I hope.

I'm having some trouble with/after installing Firefox ESR.

I'm using the installer from here: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/128.5.1esr/win64/en-US/

The behavior that I am seeing is that after running the installer, although it seems that there is no error, the process goes through without issues, there is no executable for the app itself in the folder. The shortcut that is created on Desktop is also not linked to an executable that works.

Have you encountered this before? If so, do you have any ideas or tips on how I can manage it? Or, if you have any information that I am missing, please let me know.

I am a linux user.

I updated firefox yesterday. I am using several profiles for my convienience, and exactly one (1) lost its ability to create new history, all the saved passwords, and all the plugin data. Along with the message "another application is using firefox file", which sadly give no useful details about anything.

I have done a backup of that profile, and poked a bit at it ; all files seem here and are apparently correct. In particular, login.json is not corrupted, and I could add new passwords, which would appear in that file, but the 100+ passwords that I had before are invisible

I have tried to see if firefox give any useful logs, but found none both on command line and in journalctl. Do you know how/where to find out what firefox don't like in the profile files ?

I would *very much* like to not lose my passwords and login so it's my main area of concern.

There's a wide empty white border/panel on the left side of my mozilla that seems to be a bug or something. When right clicked it gives the option: Manage Extension, Remove Extension, and Report Extension. Nothing is happening at all when I click any of these options. How to remove the border?

Is it possible to click individual segments of an URL in the address bar to navigate there directly (without manually selecting and deleting the tail)? It's a convenient way to reach upper layers of a website.

For example Vivaldi implements it via Ctrl+<Mouseover/click> (see attached screen capture)

Is there an option or addon to enable this? Thanks in advance

Today, when I started my pc, the google search engine would not completely load and I could not use the search engine. Now, when I restart my pc, I get an error "server not found". I believe that something at google went awry. Please help me as I rely on my pc for financial and medical issues. I have had problems with google in the past.

I’ve noticed that Firefox is draining my Mac’s battery significantly often consuming over 200% of the device’s power. It also prevents my Mac from going to sleep when not in use. Is there a setting I can adjust to improve battery efficiency and ensure that Firefox doesn’t block my device from entering sleep mode? I’d appreciate any guidance to resolve this issue.

Autofill Passwords intermittent. One time I go to login on to different websites and autofill works fine the next time nothing. It also seems like every time I open Firefox I have to check the autofill. I like FireFox and I'm trying to get away from another browser that I have no issues with when it comes to autofill. All I want to do is open a website autofill my passwords.

i restarted firefox, and on it's new tab when re-opening it offered the "review checker", so i clicked the "try on amazon" I don't get the icon in my search bar. is it an add-on/extension that i can just search for in the google store even though it's in beta?

When I open Firefox on the desktop computer it automatically opens all of the tabs in bookmarks instead of just a singe page. How can I get it to stop opening all of the bookmarks automatically?

How to I delete three Fire Fox icons found in Apps? Two show up in the taskbar tray and I am constantly being asked if Fire Fox should be my Default.

Also, refreshing Fire Fox changed all my options. For example, when Fire Fox opened, there were two rows of internet choices from "mail" to "dictionary"; now, a plain white screen.

I'm about to give up on Fire Fox and follow the herd with Microsoft forever! It seems every time Microsoft has an "update", two things happen: I have problems with Fire Fox and my phone rings off from folks I've never done business with; any connection?
