Looking for help to try and work out what is happening. Over the last few days, after powering up and browsing the internet everything works fine for a while. Main websites are Facebook, YouTube and continually clicking on bookmarked items. Normally only a few tabs are open at any one time. Then after some time, I open a new tab and get the

Gah. Your Tab Just Crashed message appear on the new tab and can not access any websites after this. The Close Tab, Restore Tab, Restore All Tabs do nothing.

I have to reboot the PC and start again.

I'm using the latest version 126.0.1 (64-bit).

• Tried running in Safe Mode, uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it, reverted back to 126.0 (64-bit) and same issue.

• I've cleared the cache and history

• Had Add Blockers, FB Purity and New Tab Override Extensions. Disabled these and still no success.

• I have AVG driver update installed and its telling me all the drivers are up to date.

• The problem seemed to start happening after an AVG update, so I have removed AVG Antivirus

The computer is an ASUS Vivobook Laptop, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1.19 GHz with 8GB ram.

Rootsmagic.com has a "Chat" button on the lower right corner of it's screens. Except I can't see it; Firefox seems to be blocking it. (At least that's what the Rootsmagic tech support people have suggested.) What do you have to say? Secure connection cannot be established

When a website that requires a secure (HTTPS) connection tries to secure communication with your computer, Firefox cross-checks this attempt to make sure that the website certificate and the connection method are actually secure. If Firefox cannot establish a secure connection, it will display a Secure Connection Failed or Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue error page. Secure Connection Failed

A Secure Connection Failed error page will include a description of the error and a Try Again button. There is no option to add a security exception to bypass this type of error.

Have noticed only when i use Firefox i get intermittent flickering on the screen. It does not effect browsing, though it has frozen on a couple of occasions. I don't know if that is connected or just something else.

I have tried two trouble shoot 'fixes' i found whilst looking for a solution and neither have worked.

1 - turning off recommended performance settings and hardware acceleration. 1b - turning hardware acceleration back on.

2 - checking in troubleshoot mode to see if it's an extension. Flickering happened in troubleshoot mode too.

I'm using Firefox 126.0.1 (64-bit) in Windows 11. I needed to download two files named index.html (in different source directories) from my company's content management system. Both got downloaded as index.htm. They were the right files... only the extension was changed.

I spoke to the person who maintains the content management system. They tested it and said it's not doing that, must be the browser.

That sounds fantastic to me, but I looked through the support messages here and found several about files whose extensions were changed on download; for example from .loa to .mp3. No explanations or workarounds, though.

Can anyone shed light on this?

May I first say that trying to get hold of you to make this report was painful, and took about 20 minutes and a long walk around Mozilla's assorted website, opening two accounts, etc.

I received a notice while using Firefox on PC that an update was available. I was going to put it off, as I had 25 tabs open, but the notice indicated that my open tabs would be restored once the update was complete, so I approved the update. It download and I assume installed the update, seemed to temporarily close Firefox, and then reopened the original page with all my open tabs, plus an empty page. When I tried to open the tabs shown, they all indicated that the tab had crashed and then gave me the option of restoring that tab or on some restoring all tabs. Neither worked, in fact, that Firefox page became completely unresponsive and would not allow me to browse new urls (the tabs just spun). I actually had to use MS Edge to get to anywhere to seek out someplace to make a report. I first went to the discussion group and opened up an account there, but from there noticed that feedback on Firefox was at a different url. I then needed to create an account "here". Since nothing was working, I closed and reopened the Firefox page with all the tabs on it, figuring maybe it would restore the crashed tabs. It did not and all tabs were lost. I can probably get back to some of them using the history archive, but it was very disappointing and will be even more time consuming. I am running the current version of Win 10 pro, 64 bit, on a PC. this is definitely a unique issue i have not ever had, LOL

i'm running into a very strange issue where only the roblox page is not loading properly. everything else seems to work just fine; trying to load roblox on google chrome works fine too! ive turned off my extensions and run it in troubleshoot mode, i've updated the browser and my pc and my drivers, nothing seems to want to fix it. i'm not very sure what's going on. it's very funny, but definitely troublesome- the website is not navigatable in this state.

it randomly popped up like this last night, i was under the impression roblox itself was down because my friend in the call at the time had been talking about how slow the site is. upon digging deeper and asking around, nobody else is having the issue i'm having so i'm lead to believe its a me issue

Hello, everytime I want to open a website that I frequently use, Firefox fails to suggest it as first and rather suggests the "base" url. Example: I want to open https://www.arabdict.com/en/deutsch-arabisch but typing "ara" in the URL input field always suggests https://www.arabdict.com although the first link is both bookmarked and pinned on home. Can someone tell me how to fix this if it's even fixable yet? Chrome does this if you want to compare the user experience I'm missing since switching to Firefox. Thank you!

One of the typical configuration in linux is to turn off the user namespaces and/or network namespaces. This is because most of the exploits in linux have been related to namespaces vulnerabilities.

So how come with the username turned off, the content process and media plugin is still sandboxed? Also is having user namespace turned off, as given above, a security risk?

However if the network namespace is turned off, i.e. max_net_namespaces is set to zero, then it renders the browser unusable. Nothing works. Why is that?

Is there some documentation somewhere where these namespaces and their impact is explained in detail?

I'm unable to watch videos on Crunchyroll. When I try to watch a video, the video becomes a static image of one frame. When I switch tabs and come back to the video, or hit refresh, it changes to the latest frame of the video but freezes once again. I have the latest version of Firefox and am using a Macbook. Per suggestions I have found online, I have tried disabling all my extensions, deleting my cache, deleting the Firefox folder in my ~/Library, making sure DRM content is enabled, and uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox altogether. Nothing works. Was hoping to switch over to Firefox since Google Chrome has banned ublock origin, but I keep running into these obnoxious video problems. The same issue also happens on Amazon Prime Video, but only when I press full screen.

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me.
