Yesterday I was unable to sign into The Guardian website (https://profile.theguardian.com/signin?INTCMP=DOTCOM_NEWHEADER_SIGNIN&ABCMP=ab-sign-in&componentEventParams=componentType%3Didentityauthentication%26componentId%3Dguardian_signin_header and https://profile.theguardian.com/signin? )

The problem is that after I click "Sign In", that little circling line becomes the Energizer Bunny, circling away and circling away, but not logging me in.

I have no problem logging in using those login pages on Edge, so confident of username/password combo

I have (repeatedly) turned off tracking protection, Adblock Plus & Privacy Badger for the site, cleared history (cookies and cache, as well as all), followed the complete set of instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-login-issues-on-websites-require-passwords, and refreshed Firefox. Still the same problem.

HELP - I don't want to be forced to use Edge :)

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

i am currently at a loss.

I have set up Passkeys for my google accounts. Now i have completely reinstalled my current pc and now there is no QR code showing when trying to log in.

I have another laptop where it will start completely normal. I can switch between a hardwarekey and another system (to show qr code)

Can you help me with this? I cant seem to understand why it is working on my laptop but not on my desktop. I just cant switch to log on with another device, now it is not even giving me the option to log on with a hardware key.

I would appreciate help.

My Browser keeps on telling me there is an update... I've updated, reinstalled the latest version and it still keeps giving a pop-up saying there is an update...

How do I get rid of these pop-ups???

Lately, when I'm on a website and click into an article to read, suddenly the McAfee anti-virus ad or whatever you call intrudes and takes over the browser page I'm on and won't allow me to navigate way or stop it unless I close the browser tab and/or navigate away from the page all together.

Why is this happening? Is it something in the my particular browser? If yes, how can I remove and prevent this from happening?

Is it something that is occurring on the server of the site I'm visiting? Should I notify them what is happening?

Any help and advice greatly appreciated. It is very annoying. I don't have McAfee installed and it's not a pop-up, it happens within the browser page itself.

I have Windows 11 and the Firefox 124.0.2 browser. I cannot update to the latest version of Firefox. I receive an error message "Failed to update". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, ran the install utility selecting update, nothing seems to work. Please help

Nothing happens when I press the play, like, dislike, notifications, favorite, or join server buttons. On top of this, when I try to open the catalogue it's just a grey screen with nothing in it. In the attached GIF I am clicking rapidly. I don't believe this is an issue with roblox itself, as when I open chrome everything works perfectly. The only extensions I am using for the site are RoPro and BTRoblox. I have tried to turn the extensions off and have even uninstalled them, however the problem was still not fixed.

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY - Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (Firefox-Mozilla kinda encourages using their tools to block cookies, which I much prefer), and I CANT FIND WHERE TO ALLOW (not yelling its just that I said this before and it wasn't noticed) cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences all I could find was under privacy & security cross-site cookies but that did nothing) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to try (I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I did get the following reply, saying to allow cookies (BUT I DON"T KNOW HOW OR WHERE TO DO IT) and something about a new browser profile and to stay out of my sync account, and I APOLOGIZE, but I have no clue what all that means. What is a broweser profile, what is a sync account and how do I stay out of it? I guess well I know i'm not too smart about this kinda stuff, so I apologize but I think I need detailed step by step what to do to fix this. I know thats a lot of typing, sorry.

Prior to update 125.0.1 corporate intranet users could download PDF files from our Line of Business applications / Webpages. Today after the latest update the PDF files download but are corrupted. The site was added to the trusted webpage without improvement.

Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open ********.pdf because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged

The news reader (powered by Technavia) for the Tucson Daily Star starts OK but continually slows down and eventually Firefox hangs and is non responsive. It happens in different places. The same news reader works OK in Edge or Chrome. Any idea how to trouble shoot this?

I have an issue where I go to website and I get a message that the website is temporarily available. I cannot go to a different webpage for what URL I want. I believe this has to do with history. I suspect I can get past this by flushing the history. I can get to the website I want by using a different browser such as chrome. Ho do I fix this?

IBM clone using windows 10, firefox 125

Hello, When i create a new tab (cntrl + T) I can no longer just start typing and have that be a google search. Now I need to manually click in the search bar. Is there a way to enable it so creating a new tab automatically puts the text into the search bar field?

Picture-in-picture since recent YouTube update keeps closing. Is there way i could configure in about:config to never close and always stay open even if page refreshes and have it move the video play back always to the Picture-in-picture window ? If not could this be made a feature in a future update ?

YouTube especially been annoying to Firefox users, cos it keeps refreshing the whole page breaking stuff every time it plays the video, as well have issues with looping videos even tho they are already fully buffered, making entire YouTube experience as frustrating as possible as encouragement to switch to chrome, which i refuse for obvious reasons.

Anything i can do on my end ? If tested if this happens in incognito mode as well with all extensions disabled in private windows, no change of behavior.

Btw this happens on the new YouTube interface with no way to get back to the old interface, cos it keeps the annoying features of the old interface even if you try to re position stuff using hacky ways like extensions that do so, which of course break stuff even further. I just want Picture-in-picture to remain open, and to play current video in picture-in-picture that is playing automatically.

Btw the Picture-in-picture experience with chrome or chrome based browsers is absolutely horrible, giving me even more reasons to stay on Firefox besides privacy related issues and other issues.

I know that it is possible, cause, in the past, I had extension doing exactly that. When I click on an active tab, Firefox just minimized it and went back to the last one I was looking at. But it was for the old version of Firefox. It wasn't compatibile with the new ver of the brawser. Can anyone can help me find some extension doing that please?

I have been using Firefox as my primary browser for a very long time. Now, every time I start Firefox, I get a message that the update failed, and that I should manually download the update file and run it. I do so, the update appears to work, and Firefox behaves, until I stop it and restart again. Then I get the same message. I looked online - it appears that others have had this problem, but no clear solution. I am not willing to use Edge, but am beginning to wonder if it is time to leave Firefox. WIndows 11 64, AMD processor, 64 GB ram. Connected via ethernet and fiber. NordVPN, and Bitdefender (neither of which has produced any error messages).

Hi I am a longtime user of your browser. I have version 124.0.2(64 bit) installed on three devices. First thing I do on opening it is to click on "about", which normally updates the browser, before I do any browsing. In the last three weeks, however, it has not updated on any of the three devices, rather, it says "Failed to check for updates". I have tried the workarounds suggested at your Help center, and nothing has worked. What gives, may I ask? Thank you

I can no longer log into my social security account using Firefox, but the login does work on edge. When I try login on Firefox, I get the following error message:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

The initial web site is https://www.ssa.gov/. From there I hit "Sign in", and get to https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action using Edge, but get just the error message using Firefox.

There is another route, which is through https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/. Hitting either account or sign in on that page will work on Edge, but gives the same error message on Firefox.
