So apparently I already had a firefox acct usin my main email from a long time ago and I have one I signed into most recently usin my secondary email. I just had to update my firefox so thats where it all got confusing but I updated successfully and just bookmarked my tabs so I could find em when I started usin updated firefox. im on my laptop and it lets u keep both versions. Not only that but I realized I'd been usin firefox for -I have no idea how long, w/o even signing in! So Idk where all those bkmarks got saved to if I wasnt signed in 4 wks or months...I assumed it wasnt possible to do stuff like that unless u were actually signed in, but now Idk where all of the settings, things i saved or anythin else I adjusted specifically to me would be now since it was all done w/o bein signed into a specific acct! I think a few yrs ago was the 1st time I realized u even COULD have a firefox acct cuz I thought id been usin my fire fox 4 yrs w/o one & had a whole bunch of saved pws that were either saved while not signed into anythin or perhaps a few were saved when I 1st made the acct. I also remember tryin to login when somethin informed me I had an account, which I didnt realize and...o wait I remember now.. I think id been signed in on my laptop 4 yrs w/o realizing I was, & had saved pws, bk marks etc BUT my comp was about to be non-usable due to some internet safety update those of us w/old computers had been getting as a courtesy for yrs that we wouldnt be gettin anymore (all comps older than 2010) & I was forced to get a new laptop in order to keep usin the internet safely. Obvi I planned to transfer everythin id saved in my firefox to the new laptop but I couldnt find any of my acct info like pw, accnt name or anythin despite literally bein signed in. I remember thinkin, "guess I can never sign out cuz ill never be able to get back in" & eventually I had to use the new laptop so id be usin firefox w/o bein signed in, regardless- so this 2nd account I "just" realized I had, must be that one- which I still cannot access, I assume. Don't recall why I couldnt get any of the info while I was originally signed in but eventually I had to use the new laptop & that firefox obvi wasnt signed in, so all my stuff was lost (I think.) I mustve made a new acct since theres one wit my other email I was able to login to today, but Ive been usin the browser on my laptop (and phone, i believe) w/o bein signed in 4 some time. I need help, Idk wat to do bout the accts & the dead one I cant access. I dont have the best memory due to ADD & the many meds I take so I can't be sure what I'v said is accurate. I need help figuring out whats actually goin on wit my accounts, if possible. I'm sorry I can't be more sure on the details. How do I even get in contact with customer support about this? When I kept searching about my problem the only escalation the site would tell me about was to ask a question to this which I now realize is just aq community forum and no one here can help me link my account to combine them into one. I need tech support 4 that.

Ever since the latest Firefox upgrade to version 135.0, my Epson 3760 printer pauses between each page when more than one page is requested to print continuously. This pause before each page didn't happen before the upgrade. I now have to go into my printer queue and select each item in the queue to have it resume printing - one at a time. I'm on Windows 11 with an LG laptop.

Long time user of Firefox and this issue of the Recaptcha Failed while never even opening the Recaptcha for selecting all the bikes, buses or whatever else it asks you to find in order to validate. This is a new install of the latest version of Firefox, I have no problem with Recaptcha using Chrome but prefer Firefox's privacy. I pay bills, work jobs from the internet which requires recaptcha to work in the browser I am using. I have not seen a answer anywhere to fix this problem which only happens in Firefox. Image of error message attached.

Can no longer use Google Voice in second half of a normal 8-5 work day, it appears. No amount of rebooting/restarting, closing browser, clearing caches, removing temp files, etc. appears to affect the issue. Turning off Enhanced Protection doesn't help. Issue is that I can dial a number, call connects, I can hang a call up, but the dial pad becomes unresponsive during the call. Using keyboard numbers vs. clicking the dial pad numbers makes no difference; no response either way. This happens with normal local calls, MS Teams calls from New York & other places for work, all of them. But, again, seems to happen after noon/lunch time. Very odd. The latter was why I thought it was more than 1 tab open, system resources, temp files, RAM allocation, etc. Happens whether I have only Google Voice open in 1 tab, have multiple tabs running alongside it, doesn't seem to matter.

Very perplexed. I shifted away from Brave to use FF for Google Voice & now the situation is reversed. Now, I can normally open Brave when this happens & get a responsive dial pad in Google Voice.

Using Windows 10 Professional, 64-bit on a big powerful workstation replacement category notebook.

This is pretty shady Mozilla.

When disabling only one setting: "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" it wrecks this site whether logging is or continuing as guest:

https://appointment.questdiagnostics.com/schedule-appointment/as-personal-information

Even after logging in and everything running normal, disabling the studies run by Mozilla and a quick refresh breaks the functionality of the page. All cookies were accepted and the sharing of location was allowed. On a fresh, first run, wide open Firefox people. Literally, the only change that was made was unchecking that one box. In disbelief, i tested it over and over.

Why would disabling a telemetry setting, something that should be optional, cause this to happen? Seriously, what could possibly be the reason. I'd love to hear it.

This was the final nail in the coffin to me and this is since the 0.9x days.

search engine

I want to use a search engine that keeps my browser searches private like DuckDuckGo. Firefox always make me use Google. Can I do that?

My original thread got archived so I'm displaying it again here for reference and so that I can post the fact that I am happy to report that the developers have now corrected this issue as of the latest 135 release. Here are the basics of the previous posts minus the screenshots:

      • Blue progress bar no longer showing after clicking on download icon in Firefox ***

9 months ago 5/4/24, 7:44 AM

Some months ago, Firefox stopped displaying the blue progress bars that would normally show once you clicked on the download icon. You still see the usual file info but now the progress bar of the download is gray instead of blue and is extremely hard to see. But if you click on the "show all downloads" link, then the blue progress bar will show as usual for any in-progress downloads in the Library window, as shown in the second screenshot.

It isn't a huge issue but is still annoying when you just want to quickly see the progress of downloads in Firefox. I haven't changed any of the colors in Firefox or in Windows for that matter, I'm currently running Windows 10. All other dialog boxes, windows, etc. all display normally on my system. Just curious if anyone else is having this problem and hopefully a future update can take care of it.

Thanks very much!

I'm still seeing a good color contrast on both the system theme and dark theme (with a smaller file, though). It looks like gray is used when the download is paused (third part of screenshot attached).

Your screenshot doesn't say that the download is paused, but I wonder whether the gray indicates that it is stalled, i.e., not proceeding? On the other hand, if the Ctrl+J Show All Downloads list has the blue bar, then maybe that's not intentional. I think someone will need to dig into the mismatch further.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.

Switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

jbb2004g Question owner 5/5/24, 5:54 AM

Thanks for the replies. The download was not paused in the first screenshot, it was progressing normally. And I started Firefox in Troubleshoot mode and that made no difference, still have the gray download progress bar instead of blue.

As I mentioned above, this issue has finally been fixed. It may have taken them nine months but at least they got the job done. :-)
