I am using Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64 bit) on Windows 10 with the email account set up as POP3 for the Gmail account

I have a subfolder under an Inbox (Gmail account) that is no longer showing up. If I search for an email address from a sender that was in the folder, I get a list of emails showing the dates and subject, but if I click on the email, the tab that opens is blank.

My PC crashed, but I can't say for sure when the folder disappeared, other than I know it was there 4 days ago. It the the only subfolder that is missing.

Hello community. My company decided, right before Christmas, to force-migrate all e-mail addresses from the functioning old servers to "Exchange Online", which not only made the web-browser based access more complicated, but also required changes in Thunderbird. While they provided instructions, which I slavishly followed (despite being usually rather hand around the computer), I still cannot send e-mails with my work address - they get timed out. My company IT are notoriously unwilling to help with issues on the private computer and have recommended even beforehand to from now on only use the web-based access to avoid trouble - which is laughable, for me, as I need my e-mails offline as well. So before harassing them more loudly, I wanted to make sure it's a fault on their end not on mine.

Some details: New server is outlook.office365.com, SMTP port 587. Security level is STARTTLS, authentification OAuth2. These are the changed options requested by the company IT. The window popping up when trying to send a message asks me to chose a certificate for athentification and suggests "Adobe Conetent Certificate 10-7". Neither installing this manually, accepting, or changing something under "further options" changes the outcome that the message will be timed out. As my private e-mail also uses port 587, and it still works perfectly normal, this port is not generally blocked by the windows defender or antivirus (I use Kaspersky).

Maybe someone has an idea what it happening here? Or knows if to slve it by installing a particular different certificate?

Hello, I am trying to send emails from my iCloud account and it always fails due to the SMTP server timing out. I've tried making a new app-specific password, deleting and re-adding the account in Thunderbird, and made sure the authentication settings are right, but it still doesn't work. I can connect to the IMAP server just fine.

Hello, I've been using Thunderbird since it first came out may years ago and have been a satisfied user. Sometime in the past year, after one of the Thunderbird updates, Thunderbird became EXTERMELY slow to open. It takes over a minute. I have looked for solutions here for the past year...no luck (I've read through most all of them here, that have to do with slowness of Thunderbird opening, as well as on Reddit). I've tried basic troubleshooting e.g. clearing Thunderbird cache, increasing cache to huge size. I've seen references to the slowness being related to "multiple calendars". I don't use calendars on Thunnderbird and went as far as to delete/disable the default one that was there. Still no improvement. I know its a Thunderbird specific problem since:

a. I don't have this slowness opening any other program on my Mac (opening it or using it) b. I don't have a problem with performance of Thunderbird once it finally opens c. It all started in 2022 immediately after one of the Thunderbird updates.

I am on: Mac Air M1, Ventura 13.2, 16 GB Ram Thunderbird 102.14.0 (64-bit)

I hate to ditch Thunderbird after using it all these years and being a very early user since it came out, but I am at wits end. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for any help in advance!

Somebody thought that it is a GREAT idea to make drag-n-drop cursor a GIANT rectanglular thumbnail of the emails being dragged.

No, this is a horrible idea because that thumbnail covers the target of the drag-and-drop.

Either REVERT this IMMEDIATELY or let us know how to disable and revert to the simple drag-n-drop mouse cursor that does not obstruct the target of the drag.

And in the future AVOID any GUI changes that are not ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. With these poorly thought through, extremely annoying changes you are only causing damage and aggravation.

Firefox crashes whenever I use ctrl v or right click, and pulls up a window that it crashed. Whenever I start it back up, it says it wasn't able to restore session, then restores it anyway after I press to restore it. Another thing is whenever I try and upload a file onto a site it crashes as well. I'm on Mac OS x 13 and reinstalling firefox hasn't fixed it. This is relatively sudden, it happened about around 3 days ago for the first time, and at the same time I noticed it happening certain sites also started giving me '502 Bad Gateway' errors. Does anyone know what's happening and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

I have Thunderbird 125.0 (64-bit) on Win 11.

Everything works perfectly, BUT..

If I select File->Exit then it just goes into not responding mode and I have to end task to restart TB.

If I just click X then the window closes but If I click my thunderbird icon to bring it back up, nothing happens.

I often have multiple TB processes which I have to kill.

On system restart, everything is fine unless I try to exit TB.

In case it matters, I have private ISP email acc, and 1 hotmail and 1 gmail acc.

Any thoughts appreciated.

How can that happen?

The RAM usage increases, from 1GB to 40GB+ within a matter of minutes of starting Firefox. I have not added any extensions in months. I turned of several with no improvement. I have 6 tabs opened. Firefox has crashed several times the past couple fo months. I have been away on travel for 2 weeks, and today the problem is much worse.

Firefox (37916) 51GB, Extensions (34308) 370MB, GPU (33072) 298MB , and everything else < 100 MB.

I really love Firefox - use across my 4 devices. Only on my desktop am I seeing this. Laptop, iPad, and Android all work fine. Running Win 11

Hello, I have a problem: After an automatic update of the language packs, parts of the Firefox menu (version 126.0) are displayed in EN. Parts in DE. When selecting a file for the phone's file manager, the file upload simply not starting.

However, Firefox on iOS doesn't have that issue.

Firefox version used is the latest one and it is the one from Google Play.

Tried another browser and it works great.

Ok, last week I migrated my Verizon Email to the new AOL/Verizon email set up. All went smoothly. I was sending and receiving no problem. All of a sudden, I am not sending or receiving. I can get mail from the AOL.Mail site, but can not get from Thunderbird. I have a G.mail Acct using Thunderbird and it works fine. Any idea why the new Verizon/Aol might be stumbling over Thunderbird? When I try to get mail it just hangs, when i try to send i instantly get this message...Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.verizon.net was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.

I have been on ATT support all day wo luck. I can receive just fine, but suddenly can no longer send out e-mail. (I can if I go to ATT page directly, but not with Thunderbird). I have had my password on ATT changed - and it acts exactly the same - I can receive but not send. My settings look OK to ATT: outbound.att.net, port 465, SSL/TLS and normal password. Every time I get: "Login to server outbound.att.net failed."

I have three email accounts and need to add a fourth, but haven't been able to. When I click the "create a new account > email" button a screen comes up with two buttons, and neither button works. They're 'clickable' in that they change color, but there's no way to move away from this screen and neither button brings up a new window. Once I get here I have to force quit the application to get off this screen.

I'm on mac os 10.12.4, using Thunderbird 52.1.0. I updated thunderbird, uninstalled and reinstalled, and no luck. Any thoughts?

Hi there, I am getting terribly frustrated, desperately appreciate some help!

For over a week now, I can receive emails just fine, but sending fails completely. It has been working for years, but all of a sudden stopped.

Errors include (see images attached).

Have tried numerous SMTP settings and servers.

Using: Mozilla Thunderbird 52.2.1 (and later version, but rolled back to see if problem got fixed.) Windows7 Pro Avast Antivirus BT Fibre to Home

Any help be greatly appreciated. cheers, Chris

P.S. NOTE: One thing to bear in mind, this did occur at similar time of trying the BETA version on the Outlook Mail Website (But that was on a different PC). Maybe a coincidence, but thought I would mention it anyhow.

Additions: I have tried: • disabling my Antivirus. • rolling back Thunderbird several times to previous versions. • testing port allowance through router.

UPDATE - I have just installed the Outlook App on my android phone, set up my POP account, and IT WORKS both incoming and outgoing! So it looks like it's down to just my PC then.

When sending emails - I receive the message box: Log-in failed (In Danish Log-in mislykkedes). See first image file. Further, Log-in to the server asmtp.telia.dk failed (but written in Danish). I am a Telia customer, and the outgoing server name is correct. I click the button in the middle; "Type in new password" - next file picture comes up, named "SMTP-server password is required". I type in the, correct, password for my e-mail account at Telia. - Tried both variations of clicking the box to ask the password manager to keep the password - and not clicking it. - And click OK. No difference. Then it returns back to the first image file again - and so it goes into circles again, again and again! In Settings, Security, saved password menu - both the in-going and the outgoing servers are correct - see third picture, and when I want to see the passwords they are equal and correct. I also attach a screen shot of my SMTP settings. I have tried to disable and enable the firewall and my antivirus program, but no difference. I use Bullguard 18.0.346.2 version. I can send e-mails from other devices from the same e-mail account and server, but not from Thunderbird, so it must be a local problem here. I use Windows 10 home, version 1709. My Thunderbird is 52.6.0 (32-bit). I had the same issue for a few days ago, but only once, first time for about 2 years usage of Thunderbird, but typing in the password in the second image, solved the problem and it has been running for a couple of days until now when in runs in circles.
