Hi, I'm running with the latest nightly updates, but I had a problem with my bookmarks. I was getting hundreds of copies of some bookmarks, I ended up having to sign out of sync to allow me to clear them. I now cannot use nightly, every time I try to do anything, like open a new tab, or try to check if my bookmarks have been imported from another browser, which so far they have not, nor resynced from another PC, nightly freezes, and I have to close it. I had to manually reinstall my extensions as they did not resync either. Before doing that, I refreshed nightly, but that didn't seem to have any effect. I still have no bookmarks and a very hesitant browser.

I'm just about to check my other PC running Win 11 and nightly, hopefully that will behave.

How do I fix the following error : PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

I can no longer access many websites and get the following message when I attempt to do so:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to download.mozilla.org. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR Error code: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

I lost all my bookmarks. I tried all recommendations to repair without success, and decided to accept it and start again yet am unable to add bookmarks now - hitting the star doesn't work.

I refreshed firefox, deleted and reinstalled.

I keep getting the error message "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because..."

When I try to restore I keep getting error message "Unable to process the back up file" - doesn't matter what date I choose.

What the hell has happened? I've had so many links and pages saved - now all gone...!!

Hello, I reinstalled windows and I want to synchronize my data from my email from which I send your message and every time there was no problem, but now it does not want to synchronize the data as if it does not exist, what is the problem because the data is important to me and I cannot to access Kind regards.

I've used Firefox for decades. One thing I love about it is I've always been able to close Firefox and when Firefox starts up again, it always remembers all of my windows and all of my tabs. That is, until about 3 or 4 weeks ago. All of a sudden, when Firefox restarts, it usually loses many if not most of my windows. Sometimes some of the unopened windows are still available in page history. Other times, they are not. This is really really bad. I need Firefox to work like it always used to work, where you can shut down windows any time you want, and when you start Firefox up again, all the windows and all the tabs come back, no ifs ands or buts.

My bookmark folders (containing all my bookmarks) disappeared in this latest update. I followed the instructions indicating how to restore my bookmarks, selecting the date I wanted to restore from - but it didn't work. I got an error message saying, "Unable to process the backup file." How can I get all my bookmarks back?

Now on home computer i have all my work bookmarks. Can i get my home computer bookmarks back?

I changed my sync settings to not sync now but old home bookmark did not show up when i looked in the manage bookmarks Library window. I selected restore and only the bookmarks since July 27 appear.

When I set up my Firefox account, I was using my college email. Unfortunately, the college did a merger with another college and changed their name. Due to the name change, the email I am currently using is no longer in effect. Is there a way to update the email so I can have access to all of my saved information and bookmarks?

The firefox browser sync between my Android (Pixel 9 Pro phone) and my windows laptop (a Microsoft Surface Pro 9) is not consistent. The sync works fine for a few minutes or even hours but then it stops syncing the tabs. I have to log off on both devices, disable sync and then re-enable sync to make it work again. I have tried this across multiple versions of firefox app (in both android and windows platforms) but the issue is not limited any particular version of the app. This seems to be a known issue. It will be great if the developers can release a patch to fix this bug asap. Until then I cannot use firefox as my main browser. I rely on this feature a lot. Continuity makes life easier. I current use Brave browse and edge browser and they sync totally fine between the same devices.

Got a firefox/mozilla account from day one, using it to sync all my settings/passwords etc between my desktop/laptop/office system as well as my Android mobile.

Some days ago I decided to delete all my passwords from Firefox sync. To do so I just elected to delete all passwords, from the password page. Things went just fine and my action was replicated to my Windows Firefox installation, resulting empty password lists everywhere.

Except my Android phone. Even though I've triggered even manually a sync, all passwords are still there. I know that sync worked just fine with credential pair additions/removals/changes, made from either the mobile or the desktop side of things.

Is this by design maybe? If so, I presume that I can uninstall Firefox from Android, and then reinstall and connect to my Mozilla account. But I'm curious whether there's something else at play here.

I'm using the latest Mozilla version everywhere. On Android I utilize the ublock origin and I still don't care about cookies extensions.
