Aloha. I'm helping a friend with setting up a new Windows 11 PC, and cannot get Thunderbird to connect to Spectrum's servers. I spent an hour on the phone with Spectrum support and they just gave up and said it must be an issue with Thunderbird. Here are the details:

- Brand new Dell 24 All-in-One EC24250 - Windows 11 25H2 plus all additional fixes. - All Dell drivers updated. - Thunderbird V155.0 64-bit

If I click on 'Get Messages' after a while I get: "Connection to server mail.twc.com timed out". I've gone into the config editor and changed mailnews.tcptimeout from 100 to 500 and still get the error.

In the Account Settings | Server Settings | Test server connection I get: An error occurred connecting to mail.twc.com:993.

I've tried this with both setting up a brand new account in Thunderbird, and also via copying the 'Thunderbird' folder from %appdata%\roaming from her old machine.

Email configuration (from Spectrum).

IMAP Settings Server name: mail.twc.com Port: 993 user name: abcd@hawaii.rr.com Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: Normal password

SMTP settings Server Name: mail.twc.com Port 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication method: Normal password

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this scenario?

I've made a related feature request to include an option to force Firefox to give the option to autofill any arbitrary field as a credit card, address, whatever. This is because 9 times out of 10, Firefox either fails to recognize a field and doesn't offer an autofill option, or something else is going on. If I was able to right click on an empty field and select, "Fill from credit cards," this would solve my problem.

I inspected some of these elements and see that they seem to contain the correct type of markup, with the proper autocomplete="cc-number" attribute. So why is Firefox not recognizing that field? Why is it not popping up an option to autofill?

tl;dr: there is no option to autofill even on correctly marked-up forms. Nothing pops up. My credit cards are stored correctly, I'm logged in as the correct user, the feature works on *some* checkout forms, just not most of them.

Every time I try to load pages thru email or anything it says java script is off and nothing will load it could be me maybe I am doing something wrong I had to take a week break but I'm back now

Just started Thunderbird and all my accounts and mails are gone. All empty. I tried to import from default: C:\Users\Korisnik\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\fjv3tdcd.default and now I have mails until 2025, all from year 2026 is gone. This started happening in the past 2 days. I would navigate through a page or a forum to an article or listing that I want to read. when I go to the link, the page goes into reader mode, refreshes rapidly, and usually crashes to a previous screen. It’s been happening on almost every website I go to. In addition, if I press the shift key, the debug window opens and closes. Things I’ve tried:

It’s only Firefox, I don’t get this behavior in chrome, brave, or duckduck I’ve disabled extensions, and tried troubleshooter mode I’ve disabled hardware acceleration I’ve cleared cache I’ve wiped Firefox from my system and did a clean install I’ve wiped Firefox and installed an older version

None of these have worked. I’d like to keep Firefox on my pc because I’ve used it since the beginning. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have multiple profiles on my computer. How do I make sure all emails on the older profiles is on my profile I am now using? I would like to delete old profile 16+gb but want to make sure all emails are in the profile I am presently using. I think all emails are in present profile but would like to make sure. I have other older profiles but they are small in size. Trying to recover some disk space on my ssd.

In TB 155.01 when I click on Delete the email leaves my Inbox but does not display in the Deleted folder. If I look at Properties in the Deleted folder it shows the correct number of messages in there but the messages themselves do not show in the right hand window. Thus there is no way of seeing what the messages are, just the total quantity in the folder.

So I am trying to create a rule that will delete emails on the server that are 360 days or older.

I know you can go into settings...

But from what I have read that only deletes emails on server from when they were downloaded into thunderbird.

I am new to thunderbird so that wont work for me.

So I went into message filter....thinking this would work

This morning, my email Inbox is empty. I use Thunderbird for four email accounts, and three of them are fine, but the fourth one has an empty Inbox this morning. I didn't (intentionally, anyway) move the emails anywhere, and they do appear to be in the All Mail folder, so I didn't lose them entirely. But I keep my emails mostly in my Inbox and they aren't there anymore.

Any ideas what happened to make them disappear and how I can get them back to the Inbox?

I have downloaded and installed Thunderbird Email on my computer.

I put in my name as requested. Enter my Gmail account and go through all the steps signing in only to get a message that there is an error and I cannot be signed in.

Extremely frustrating to not be able to use this app.

Will be uinstalling immediately.

Almost anything I try to do with Thunderbird, even replying to emails requesting advice, I come up with errors, such as:

Sorry, you have been blocked

You are unable to access thunderbird.net

upstream request timeout

upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection termination

When replying to an email or sending a new mail I get the message :- An error occurred while sending mail. Server responded : You need to authenticate when sending mail from (ip address) Please check "message Recipient" and try again. How do I authenticate ? Thanks140.7.1

Syncing is still something I don't understand I will tell you up front my smartphone is smarter than me I'm not techy somehow I watched Microsoft and Google interface with Yahoo and now I got each addresses answering each other's it's a mess on my end for the first time joining this I feel a fresh start for the first time I feel like I might be safe I'm not social media I don't post I don't post I don't copy I try to keep things simple so I don't understand a lot of things but I'm retired Marine sometimes my mind gets very reactionary bringing my stuff over mean something I'm going to have to accept that I don't like I don't even use Wi-Fi everything is hardwired ethernet that's the best I can describe my concerns thank you for your time

I would like to make Firefox web browser to save automatically the "tab group" created.

The feature is already there by left clicking on the group and choose "save and close group". I would this to be automated as default behaviour at every attempt to close the last tab of the group, so the "tab group" never gets deleted by itself. Only deliberately left click on the tab group and choose "Delete group".
