Inden jeg installerede den seneste opdatering skete det samme ved: svar mail, videresend mail, print mail. Hi everybody,

Thunderbird is not download mail to the client inbox. I created the mailsadress today, freshly installed TB too. I set up the outlook.com account in TB and TB is establishing a connection with the mailserver, but not loading the mails. every time it tries to connect I can see TBgoing through the motions in status in the bottom left. There are mails in the accounts inbox,TB is just not downloading them. I also tried sending mails a mail to myself, from within TB, works fine. The mail sent via TB arrived in the acount inbox, visible in the webapp.

Please help, THX

already double checked Server Settings:

   IMAP:
       Incoming Server: outlook.office365.com
       Port: 993
       Security: SSL/TLS
       Authentication: OAuth2
   SMTP:
       Outgoing Server: smtp.office365.com
       Port: 587
       Security: STARTTLS

I'm an older person who's still learning how to use my phone.

I recently noticed a symbol I don't understand. It's on the right edge of the Navigation Bar and is a box with 3 lines (text?). When I click on it, it turns the page black and simplfies what I'm seeing. I've added a couple of images below. It's even on this page I'm using now.

What is this?

Every now and then a folder flag will change to the drafts flag/icon, it seems to be a random occurrence which can happen to any sub-folder. Up until the most recent Thunderbird upgrade I had a working extension called FolderFlags which allowed me to go into the Folder properties and change it back but that extension no longer works with the latest version of Thunderbird and there is no alternative extension. How do I change the flag back to it showing as an ordinary sub-folder in my Inbox instead of Drafts? As an interim measure I've created a new sub-folder and copied the emails from the old into the new but that's not ideal at all. I hope somebody will create an updated extension but has anyone any other suggestions please?

When I click on a folder with multiple messages, each of which has a thread with multiple messages, all of the threads are automatically expanded. If I collapse each message thread, leave that folder, then return to that folder, all of the message threads are again fully expanded.

Is there a way to stop this automatic thread expansion each time a folder is opened?

The password prompt box appears, but regardless of whether I click “Cancel” or try to enter the password, the program freezes and only displays “No response.” I am unable to click on any menu item, as the program freezes even then. I wanted to repair it via Windows, but only the “Uninstall” tab appears in the Control Panel, not “Repair”... It doesn't matter whether I start Thunderbird in safe mode or normal mode. This morning I opened Thunderbird and a Google Calendar reminder popped up. I clicked 'Dismiss' but the reminder did not disappear. I tried clicking the X close button but the reminder did not disappear.

The problem is that this prevents all access Thunderbird. Nothing is selectable so I have no access to my emails or to any of the Thunderbird settings.

I tried reinstalling Thunderbird (without deleting my profile) and the Google Calendar reminder pops up again.

So I am really stuck!

Can anyone help solve this issue please.

Fix for RangeError: invalid language tag and client-side exceptions in Firefox on Linux

Hi everyone, I was experiencing persistent JavaScript errors in Firefox on Linux when loading certain modern websites (e.g., built with React or Next.js). The browser console showed messages like:

   RangeError: invalid language tag: "chrome://global/locale/intl.properties"
   A client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)
   React error #418 with minified stack traces

This happened even in Safe Mode, with all extensions disabled, cookies/cache cleared, and Enhanced Tracking Protection off. ✅ Root cause and fix:

Turns out the issue was related to missing or broken locale configuration in Firefox. To fix it:

   Open about:config
   Create a new string entry:
       Name: intl.locale.requested
       Value: en-US (or fr, en-GB, etc. — any valid locale)
   Restart Firefox

After adding this key, all affected pages started working correctly. The invalid "chrome://global/locale/intl.properties" error in intl.accept_languages disappeared as well — it seems that was just a side effect of the missing locale setting. 🔁 Summary:

If you’re seeing RangeError: invalid language tag and React crashes, try adding intl.locale.requested manually. This fixed the issue entirely for me on Linux.

I created a local folder in Thunderbird on my NAS drive and directed the locations to it on my computers. I have emails sorted by year, as well as received and sent. When I open the program, I can see the email subject, recipient, and date. However, I can't open any of the messages; both the quick preview and the separate window show a white background. I tried a lot of workarounds but they are unsuccessfully: I tried to create extensions (Hide Gemini, AI Google Overview), but they do not work for all users; only profile-based extensions are supported. I tried to use preferences using internal settings on Firefox, but it does not apply to all users. I tried using a script on PowerShell for all users merging internal preferences, but it does not work I copied the local and roaming settings from Firefox to the Default profile, but it was unsuccessful.

I also tried to remove "All" from the search page, but I moved the seach to go to the tab "Web" only.
