Manage passwords on Firefox desktop with Firefox Lockwise

The Firefox Lockwise add-on lets you access and manage your passwords quickly and securely. When you visit a website and click on the add-on icon, it will suggest your logins for that page.

  1. Click the Firefox Account icon in the toolbar.

  2. Click Logins and Passwords.

From here, you'll be able to add or manage logins. Note: You'll need to enable login sync in order for Lockwise to sync your passwords across devices.

Does it look different? You might still be on an older version of Firefox. Firefox Lockwise is built into Firefox 70 and over. Find what version of Firefox you are using and if you're on an older version, follow the steps below.

Firefox 69 and below

Install Firefox Lockwise

  1. Visit the Firefox Lockwise site.
  2. Click Install for Firefox to install the add-on and follow the prompts.

Remove Firefox Lockwise

  1. Click on the menu button fx57menu to open the menu panel.
  2. Click Add-ons.
  3. Click Extensions on the left panel.
  4. Look for Firefox Lockwise on the list and click Disable to temporarily disable it or Remove to uninstall it.
Tip: Download Firefox Lockwise for iOS and for Android so you can access your logins on multiple synced devices.
