I'm done with Firefox
Firefox used to be good but it's just becoming broken garbage. I just tried the Opera browser which lets you listen to youtube with the screen locked and tab minimalised. Something that used to function on Firefox but is now just another broken feature. Not to mention that for over a year now the comments haven't been loading on youtube videos, which I posted on here all the way back then and got no response. Time to put this useless garbage in the trash can...

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee jumps into a discussion, you'll see the Mozilla Staff label next to their name.
If you wish, you can leave feedback for developers on the Mozilla Connect website. Click the Firefox Menu
button in the toolbar, click Help and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Which is a Chromium based web browser owned by a Chinese company in case that is of concern for you.
I don't care if Opera is Chinese owned. It does what i need it to do which is listen to music on YouTube with my screen off. In any case let's be real here. Western owned companies are more likely corrupted, parasitical and plain evil than anything based in China
I get the frustration, honestly. It’s really disappointing when a browser you’ve used for years starts feeling unreliable. Features like background YouTube playback working before and then suddenly not working anymore can definitely push people away.
That said, some of these issues are often related to YouTube changes rather than Firefox alone, especially things like comments not loading. Sometimes clearing site data, disabling extensions, or testing in a fresh profile can fix weird long-term bugs.
Firefox still has strong privacy features and customization options, but yeah — if basic stuff feels broken for you, it’s understandable to look elsewhere. Hopefully they improve stability because a lot of us would prefer to stick with it.
