When setting up Thunderbird, I did not see the radio tick box for removing mail from the server. What will happen now that I have removed about 10000 pieces of email from my local account on my computer's hard drive?

I have more questions, but would rather ask one at a time.

Just installed Thunderbird and can receive emails but not send them. Error message says the message could not be sent because connection to outgoing server SMTP mail.twc.com timed out.

My settings seem correct and I can send and receive emails through the companies website but not with Thunderbird. Thanks

When opening Thunderbird a pop up opens requiring me to enter my password for pop3. As far as I remember, I don't have or need this password. Cannot get rid of the popup. It keeps popping up.

This has been going on for many builds now, for Thunderbird Nightly versions 136 and 137 and now Beta version 136.

The notification sound will play if the program is fully open but not if it's minimized.

Really annoying. It worked as it should in previous build versions....

Hi. I renamed a folder and stupidly used a special character (I think that's what caused the problem). The folder is now empty. Seeing an old reply on the forum, I looked in the file list and see that the data seems to still be there but I don't know how to get it back. I've added an image of the directory. It was called .HOLD and I changed it to .Check Here -> HOLD. I changed it back to .HOLD to see if that would help but it didn't. I closed and restarted Thunderbird and that didn't help either.

I wish to send an encrypted email. I have imported and accepted the recipient's public key.

When I compose an email to this recipient, the "encrypt" button is disabled.

I use an adblocker that keeps YouTube from displaying advertisements before displaying a video. It works fine. However, when a friend sends me an email with a link to a YouTube video the video always begins with an advertisement when I click on the link. If I copy the link as text and paste it into my browser (Firefox) the ad doesn't appear when I start watching the video.

I'd like to be able to avoid watching the ads. Is there something I can set in Thunderbird to allow the adblocker to work before YouTube starts to display a video?

Hello I have a problem after in potting Settings for my for accounts of email I do not See any folders Apart from out coming folder Sorry For In convenience In My English badain Training to use Voice recognition so the problem is that I do not See any folders by side of out coming In three of my accounts In My Computer application of Thunderbird there is no problem and I see Everything Bad I need osioł to see my coming emails on my Phone są please let me know If It possible to set This And use the full functionality of the application thank you

I keep getting this error message provided in file attached to this message, saying that "the message could not be sent becuse connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) failed.

I get this error message when I try to send emails from two gmail addresses in Thunderbird, and I can send and receive email fine from non gmail addresses.

I also try to send an email from another computer in the same home network with another gmail address, and I get the same problem. I have already tried to remove and add again my gmail addresses in thunderbird, and problem still occurs.

And when I try to connect directly from the web browser, I don't have this problem, and I also reset my home box, and issue still occurs, can you help please ?

I also double check my outgoing server settings, and I m sure they are correct:

Hello, We have problem with sending and receiving e-mails. Sometimes Thunderbird just stops receiving e-mails. We can send messages but they can be saved only in local folder. In browser e-mails arrive and we can send them without any problems so it has to be some problem with Thunderbird. We were trying a lot of solutions, but only one works - creating new profile. It is very time-consuming solution, because we have to copy all e-mails, contacts, user settings, etc and we have to create a new profile couple times in a month... We were trying to off our antyvirus, forget password, etc. Probably there is some problem with certificates, but we do not know how to fix it. We use IMAP. Let me know what we can do to solve this problem, because creating new profiles is too tiring... :(

So I have two accounts on my Thunderbird, business Microsoft Exchange and then a personal G-Mail account. Recently I have been having certain e-mails not being able to send through Microsoft Exchange. I have OWL support for both of them to work correctly. It is usually an e-mail over 8mb of attachments or some time it has been an e-mail with a lot of wording in the body, like lots of replies I have had to delete most of the info in the body to get it to send. If I send it through my G-Mail account it goes no problem. The Message it gives me is "Sending of the Message failed. The server had an internal error. This is always a problem of the server and not of you or your application." I tried to go online through office.com to send it that way, and it worked. My internet guy thinks it is Thunderbird but doesn't use it and really doesn't know anything about Thunderbird. Most of my guys that work on my business computers don't know anything about Thunderbird. My office manager has Thunderbird and is not having this problem. I am not the best with internet or mail configurations. This is getting frustrating. I am hoping someone know what the problem is and it is an easy fix. Please let me know if you have any ideas, I don't like outlook and some of the other apps for mail. I am used to Thunderbird and don't really want to learn a new one.

I have been trying for 2 days to do:

1. Move the Thunderbird data base to E-drive from c as there is no space on C. I allow thunderbird to install - no option for data base location and it puts it on c-drive my default. I then copy all the files to e-drive and then it wants to re-install again. Same PC.

2. I cannot get mailstore to convert pst as the Outlook function in Thurnderbird does not or I cannot get it to work.

I am complete novice and this is all to complex. I live in remote place in Austrialian out back

I've been using Thunderbird happily for some years. In the last week however, I can no longer send mail from some accounts. I have 3 accounts: one is Hotmail, two are with Ionos. All accounts receive fine, and one of the Ionos accounts sends fine, but the other Ionos account and the Hotmail one have stopped sending.
