Hi,

I want to view this website http://www.ocearch.org/ with FF 60.0. I get endlessly shown a "loading" within the page (see screenshot). I also get this "loading", when I disable all addOns, but not, when I start FF with "AddOns disabled" over the help-menu. What is the delta? I'd like to analyse this error. I use quite a lot of AddOns to block conent (see screenshot). But even if they're all disable it doesn't load the page completely.

Many thanks MozMi

I once had a problem where the webpage would continuously reload non-stop. I traced the problem to a form filling add-on.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes). If the problem goes away, that tells us one thing. If it does not, that tells us something else.

Hi,

I disable the theme and the hw acceleration. It didn't solve the problem. In save mode I don't have the "loading" shown after loading.

Other ideas?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

Hi,

Checked, but also not the case (see screenshot). Funny. I wonder, if we can figure the problem out...

Thanks so far! MozMi

Note that Disconnect uses the a block list like Tracking Protection, so it is possible that if you disable Disconnect that TP starts blocking content that doesn't show when this extension is enabled.

I do have TP blocking content and shows the spinning loading icon.

Hi,

I have mad the check where I had all AddOns deactivated (incl. disconnect). After a restart of my Laptop I get the TP in FF also shown. Deactivated TP, but still get the spinning loading icon, too.

Did you check the Web Console to see if there is more detail available?

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
