Bookmarks keep rearranging themselves in the bookmarks toolbar

I've been having this problem for about 10 years. It was raised in this thread but never solved.

When I launch Firefox, several recent bookmarks that had been at the bottom of a folder have moved to the top of the folder.

Hi,

The thread you mentioned actually has a solution. Doesn't it work for you? What is you disable Sync completely?

Also, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode and see if the issue persists.

I have the same problem. I have un-synced my other two computers but the issue persists. What point is there in using a browser the I chose because of the easy sync, when it won't work? Firefox 156.0.1 64 bit running on Ubuntu 22.04
