I updated today because of the CA issue but this version of Firefox seems not to be able to save PDF files. This might be a bug.

What I did to try to resolve:

1. Tested saving PDFs from different websites: no PDFs were saved. All failed silently (Save as PDF dialog closes as normal after I select the destination for the file. No file is produced, no error message is shown.)

2. Checked to see if a different application could save PDFs today on my computer. No problem. It's just Firefox.

3. Restarted Firefox: same problem

4. Restarted my Mac (mini m4, Sequoia 15.8.1): same problem

Note: Printing on paper from Firefox still works.

I am using Firefox version 157.0.1 (64-bit) (mint-001-1.0) on Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon. 4 Monitors are connected. In a previous version, don't know which but it is not long time ago, Firefox opened, when I clicked on the task bar icon, always on the monitor, where I moved the mouse to. Now in the writen version above, it is opening on the monitor, where the last Firefox window was closed.

It used to be so easy to tell Firefox where to open a new window, but that feature is gone now. Or is there maybe a setting somewhere to turn it back on? I didn't find anything in about:config, though.

Please do not confuse the behavior described here with the System Settings feature > Moving and Resizing Windows > Location of newly opened Windows, which works differently and is, unfortunately, very impractical.

I hope you can give me the key tip

We are operating an enterprise legacy system that heavily relies on XSLT 1.0 for its rich text editor and file upload modules.

As you may know, Chromium-based browsers are deprecating XSLT support on November 17, 2026. However, they provide an enterprise policy (XSLTEnabled) to temporarily allow its use until August 2027. We only need to maintain our legacy system until December 17, 2026, before migrating to a new integrated platform.

We are considering using Firefox as an alternative browser for our internal users during this period, but we need to clarify Firefox's roadmap regarding XSLT deprecation.

My questions are: 1. Target Date: Is there a specific target date or Firefox version planned for the complete removal of XSLT 1.0 support? 2. Enterprise Policy: If Firefox plans to remove XSLT before December 2026, will there be an Enterprise Policy provided to temporarily extend its functionality in a corporate environment (similar to Chrome's XSLTEnabled)?

Since the latest changes of Ff, I keep getting more and more websites, where instead of becoming connected, I get "Something does not seem to look right..." How do I override this? I have not asked for such help from a browser. These are sites, some of which I have visited for years. This is the question: How do I stop this and override this? I am not asking for an explanation why you feel you need to save me, I simply want to see if there is a way to override this.

I guess i cant get help, its just an fyi.

I'm on Linux CachyOS, was setting up a manual back up for both of the profiles I use. When setting up the second backup it, instead of writing to the directory it decided to overwrite the path, essentially deleting, not sending do the trash bin, DELETING my documents directory and creating the directory again, but now only the back up for the second profile was inside. Thankfully i have a backup, though a little out of date by like a few weeks. I'm not sure how much of it was user error for not reading and how much of it was just some weird error.

Prime Video is unusable on Firefox since the latest two updates. The website freezes. Videos don't run. When I change the settings as has been suggested either the problem remains the same, with lack of loading, or videos are unavailable. I have read and done whatever has been mentioned in the past, so my only conclusion is that Firefox does not support Amazon Prime Video, as well as the Amazon website. The option I have now if I want to watch Prime Video is to run it on Safari. I look forward to Firefox fixing this issue. I just want it to work as it had done in prior updates. I don't need to continue to alter settings when it is obvious, to me at least, the problem doesn't lie with the settings, because none of them work. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Since I updated Firefox my Twitch and Kick websites wont load the video. The chat work but video and sound wont start.

I tried it in chrome and there it works so something happend after the new update.

I made a Mozilla account to post on this forum as this has been a puzzling conundrum. I am using Chrome temporarily (oh no!)

A friend of mine made a tool that uses Godot engine on web, and it requires WebGL2. About a month ago, I never ran into any issues using Firefox and I was able to complete an entire project using this site that used WebGL2. 2 weeks ago, I logged into the website and was prompted with an error.

Error The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing: WebGL2 - Check web browser configuration and hardware support

Firefox was not loading WebGL2. I opened https://get.webgl.org/webgl2/ and got another error.

Hmm. While your browser seems to support WebGL2, it is disabled or unavailable. If possible, please ensure that you are running the latest drivers for your video card.

At the time I was running an older version of my NVIDIA graphics because I had experienced instability on my graphics card with the latest version, so I went to go install the latest version of my drivers. (ver. 617.42)

I then go to try both websites again, my friends' site, and https://get.webgl.org/webgl2/ . Both give the same error.

So I'm not really sure why, but I can't use any WebGL2 stuff on my Firefox install after fully deleting everything and reinstalling, it only works on Chrome. Please let me know what I can do to troubleshoot this because I actively want to use Firefox as my main browser. I am getting a message below my bookmarks bar telling me: "You have an unsent crash report related to crashes being investigated, sending it will help us improve Firefox. Closing this notification will ignore this report." How do I access that report and send it?

My boss was trying to add a new profile on my laptop for work, but then deleted my original profile. I have been using my laptop continuously the last few days after this happened for work and have been unable to successfully recover my old profile. More importantly, I am looking to recover my saved passwords and open tabs. I don't know if this is possible beyond what I have attempted.

I have done the few steps that Google AI suggests when googling my issue. I have windows 11 pro. The profile folder is not in my trash. Is there anything I can do or am I out of luck?

I cant stand the new sidebar and the revamp false has kept me in firefox. Now its stuck with padding on the outside, padding on the inside even with NOVA turned off. I have gone back to firefox 157 for now.

Is there anyone forking firefox away from all this curvy padded UI. This is very unpleasant.

I have used the jeffersonscher scrounger before and it worked well. I get the jsonlz4 file from the session store backup folder and it generates all of the text that does not have what I need. I click the scrounge urls' and it just sits saying processing forever. This is probably 200 tabs but will it take this long? I have a good pc. Using the older version it just comes up with results of "window" and no url list.

I use an ad blocke. This was rarely if ever a problem. However, now it seems that the majority of sites coming up in search results are blocking anyone using an ad blockerwith a pop up appearing requesting I allow ads .... Is there a way around this?
