When I have set the size of the window and then move the window to the left or right then the application automatically expands the window. I do not want it to do that as I want to be able to have the firefox window where I choose and the size I have chosen, but the program automatically expands the widow to fill the screen.

I have set up a Mozilla ID and followed the instructions to see if Firefox will let me set up its new VPN - as I am based in the UK, I thought I would be eligible. Having logged onto Mozilla, I cannot see any VPN-related things in Firefox and I cannot restart Firefox as this will log me out of Mozilla.

When will this option be available to commoners like me?

Google seems to be slowing down my PC. So I deleted google and installed Mozilla. I set Mozilla as my default browser but google is still there. How do I get rid of google?

On entering a search into the search box on firefox home screen with google selected the resulting display is just computer code (looks like this: (�/�Xx<�l�/�F$�O�6
g�W��wd) selecting a different search engine or going to google.com works just fine. How do I fix this?

When visiting a previously visited subreddit. The page loads part way down instead of at the top.

This seems to have been introduced with v149 on Windows 11.

I'm getting totally disgusted with Firefox, Windows 11. FF updates automatically. More and more websites will not open when I'm using the browser, and they open just fine when I switch to another. Since I have used Firefox ever since its inception, it's extremely distressing. It doesn't matter if I turn off ad blocking and tracking software. The latest site that won't open is Substack, which works perfectly okay using the Brave browser. This is probably the 10 instance this month of a website that does not work with FF, including once that always did work just fine.

Other changes are also annoying, but I'll save them for another complaint.

I have google as my default search engine and having the search engine shortcut suggestion gets in the way of my work flow. When I open a new tab, I'd like to just press the tab button once to move to the search bar. Any way to accomplish this in about:config?

The Firefox default behaviour to reload a page for view-source even when it is already in memory is unnecessary and causes many difficulties when tracking CGI bugs.

This unnecessary reloading can be turned off by setting accessibility.blockautorefresh to true.

However, fixing these stupid page reloads this way introduces another hyper-annoying behaviour: then Firefox blocks redirects.

So this accessibility setting is bad in both possible settings. Is there a possibility to prevent reloading pages for view-source while still allowing redirects?

When Firefox opened a couple of days ago ago the layout changed without my doing anything. I have a approximate 3/4 inch gap that wasn't there before. Can't figure out how to get it back the way it was before. Thank You

My friend and I usually use the same account on Firefox and he dismissed the pop up for the new VPN a few times, according to him. Every page I can find about setting up the VPN involves this pop up, and I cannot find another way to activate this.

I tried to log out of my friend's Firefox account and into mine, but the pop up did not appear for me. Is there another way I can set that up?

Since a few days ago, Firefox has been struggling with the likes of youtube, twitch and other streaming videos where the the videos will constantly freeze up, forcing me to use a different browser in order to watch videos.

Nothing has changed (ie I have not added any new extensions), and have also done a flat re-install of Firefox to no avail (as well as trying firefox without the Mozilla VPN on to see if that did anything).

in FF devtools, i'm debugging my network requests. but it is NOT POSSIBLE to copy a specific number of error messages (like "the first three lines"). the selection deselects instantly, spamming cmd-c does NOT copy the selected text, right click only offers "copy (one) value" or "copy all" which is ALL, including miles of stacktraces which i don't want to copy. it behaves like it's constantly being updated, but it's a one-off request and displaying the results. there is no need to unselect

this is infuriating. why is it like this?? PLEASE change it (if there is somebody here who can?)
