Blank Tabs - But only once
I am using Firefox 149.0 (64-bit) with Yahoo.Com as my home page. All of a sudden, when I use the search bar at the top of the Yahoo Home Page, Firefox opens up a blank tab in response. Doesn't matter what I search for, same thing happens. Then, if I close that blank/empty tab and reattempt the same exact search again, it works fine.
This has been happening only for the past few days - was fine before. Is this Firefox? Or is this Yahoo? And how can I resolve the issue?
Thanks in advance.

This is becoming a nuisance. Hard to believe that I'm the only person facing this. It's happening on another computer now. I have to execute searches twice. After the first search I have to close out the blank tab that it generated and then execute the search again. 90% of the time it works the 2nd time but I've had a few occasions when I needed to do it 3 times.
A switch to Chrome is looking like a probability.
Yes, I have the exact same issue. I get a blank tab the first time I do a search with Yahoo, and I have to close out the tab. I redo the search, and the second time it goes through.
Definitely a Firefox issue because it happens even when I change my search engine.
Hi,
I'm really sorry you experience that. This issue is being investigated under bug 2034019.
To be short, it seems to be Yahoo blocking some Firefox configurations. A mitigation should follow soon (unless Yahoo fixes it on their side earlier).
Thank you for responding. However, I'm not so sure it's Yahoo blocking Firefox because when I switch my search engine from Yahoo to Google (but retain use of the Yahoo home page), it happens in that configuration also.
