My problem is exactly what the title says. After I clear my history, Firefox still suggests me websites (not in my bookmarks). In the settings, when "search browsing history" is enabled, I get suggested some websites I used in the past even after clearing all time history. If I disable "search browsing history", then only the websites are not suggested. I already cleared everything like site data and cookies, all time browsing history etc.

I've attached 2 Screenshots: First screenshot is of the "search browsing history" setting. Second screenshot is of the search suggestion. There are 2 markings which mean: 1. (Main Problem) The suggested website by Firefox, which shouldn't appear after history cleanup. (It doesn't appear when the setting is off.) 2. This suggested website is different and in my bookmarks and is not a problem. (I am only mentioning it because I know the concerning website is not in my bookmarks.)

I use same sync account for Windows and Android and I don't have this problem on Windows. What should I do? Thank you for your time.

My firefox is not recalling the history as I move through tabs. It doesn't appear in the sidebar or in the documented history. This only has happened recently, and it's still recognizing my bookmarks. I've done some troubleshooting, tried relaunching in the mode while switching through tabs, but it's still not recalling. Any help is appreciated.

This morning I installed Firefox version 150 on Windows 11. Since then, the address bar does not auto-complete for websites I have previously visited. It also doesn't show any history in the search bar, only the history for my phone (see screenshot). I have also included a screenshot of the address bar settings.

Hi. So I've been having this issue where, I search something in google, it searches what I asked it to. Then I search again and it finds what I asked it to. The third time if I search again it'll go back to the first thing I tried to search as if i just pressed BACK twice. Something similar happens if I search for something, and then if I search the second thing and tap on the website and then press BACK, it'll go back to the first Google result I ssearched. It's been a few weeks this has been happening and the only thing that'll TEMPORARILY fix it is if I close firefox. If you need any more information I'd be happy to help you help me. Thank you!

Last week I went through the process of choosing a profile so I would not be faced with choosing whenever firefox opened. ( I was guided through the process by some of you elders.) My bookmarks are all in place but that history no longer accumulates, not even during the session I am in. I must have hit something without knowing it. I have gone up and down settings on several levels, but I can't figure out what will make this work again. It is helpful to have this reference so I would appreciate help. Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. For years I have clicked on the clear history, clear data and manage data on the settings page in privacy and security--directly after leaving every website, just to be sure...now nothing is happening when I click on them. FF is up to date and nothing is different (that I know of).

The Android App won't allow me to find specific items from history (e.g. i wanna visit chatgpt.com, but all suggestions offer me chatandgo VENEZIA when typing chat) and delete them. There's no way I can scroll so much history just to find specific items to delete. Method for deleting all history or for last hour makes no sense. See the attachment. Thank you.

all of a sudden my firefox "home page" is being filled up with icon of web searches! I spend time having to delete each one. why did this start and how do I stop it? I'm going to go back to windows edge if this is the grief I'm going to get on mozilla/firefox

I'm conducting research on the web but nothing is being recorded in my search history which is really annoying as I need to refer back to it at times. I can find it under recently closed tabs. Please can you advise what is going on?

Firefox claims does NOT save site/URL visit information while in Private Mode. And I thought that was true. However, I just discovered that Firefox DOES SAVE Private Mode URL/Site visits - in this specific place. I don't know how long the history will be saved - it looks like at least as long as the Window is open. I want to keep most of my open Private Tabs open - but want to Delete/Clear the ones I'm done with. I thought/understood that Private window/tab/visit info was not tracked/saved - and it's not saved in History, or Searchable. But it appears that this doesn't apply to the Recently Closed Tabs MenuItem. And there seems to be NO 'delete' or 'clear' option for this field. I can't find any reference to the subject in the Forum or Articles. The picture I've attached is NOT of the Recently Closed Tabs while in Private Browsing, but is the same MenuItem and field contents. Thanks for your interest. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to delete/clear this specific history.

I want to know how to go back to the previous page when i hit the back button on the navigation bar instead of going all the way to the original start page, I have trie suggestions like the Backspace ket and the left arrow key but they don't work. would like to know if i can get it to work like it used to.
