I used to be able to clear all data with no problem, but now it's holding to Gmail login data (I think that's the problem, anyway). I clear all data after each browsing session and have been doing so for a long time, but it's not working anymore. But it is working on my husband's laptop and we're on the same version of Windows (11) and have the same settings. Can someone please assist in figuring out what's happening behind the scenes? After enabling `privacy.resistFingerprinting = true` in `about:config`, I noticed that Firefox’s built-in PDF viewer (`pdf.js`) is always displayed in **light mode**, even though my system and browser themes are both dark.

I understand that RFP forces `prefers-color-scheme: light` to prevent fingerprinting, but this also affects internal components like the PDF reader. Unfortunately, the PDF viewer doesn’t provide a manual dark mode toggle.

Is there any **official or safe workaround** that allows keeping RFP enabled while still having the PDF viewer use dark colors?

Lightning Strikes again.

As soon as TB upgraded to 143 I had the following problems:

1. Half my folders disappeared. In this day and age, where emails are "official documents" to prove communications.... 2. I could not delete any email, folder. 3. I could not create a folder.

So, I deleted that installation and reinstalled TB.

Same issues. NO CHANGE with a clean install.

I've been reading how to move my emails to a new computer. There are two users on the old computer, both with Thunderbird. When moving the email profile to the new computer, does it pick up both users, or does this need to be done separately for each individual Thunderbird email account? If so, I assume I need to set up both users on the new computer before starting the Thunderbird move. Also, how can I be absolutely sure I'm dealing with a recent enough email version on the old computer? My Thunderbird updates frequently but the new one seems to be slightly off.

I have 2 machines (Win10 and Win11) with FF 140.3.1esr (32-bit) installed which demonstrates the same failure when I enter one site's url:

PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Chrome at the same machines goes at this url w/o any failures. Any ideas what to change on "about:config" in FF to allow it opening this url w/o such error?

When I select emails to move to another folder, Thunderbird 143.0.1 (64-bit) will not show me the number of emails I have selected.

I have tried every 'online' fix out there, and none of them seem to work.

Can someone please help me?

My Spectrum password was changed and now I cannot get direct access to TB. For some reason TB is not linking up with Spectrum password. I get a popup panel saying "Login to server Mail.TWC.Com with username jomar159@hvc.rr.com failed" Retry Enter New password Cancel I have 2 accounts on TB 1 is wmarks1 and the other is jomar159@hvc.rr.com HELP

I have two Gmail email addresses. One is used for important messages. As of last Thursday I am not receiving some emails sent to this account. I asked sender to use secondary email and they come through. I’m very concerned that I’m missing important messages and need to get this corrected quickly. Please help if you can. If I need to delete Thunderbird I will but hope not.

Suddenly I am not receiving emails from my church and financial advisors (especially daily and weekly newsletters). They are NOT going into spam; I'm stumped. Appreciate your help.

In Outlook, it would say that "I replied to this message on xxx" in the header (not sure if that is what it is called, but near the top). I found it helpful to at least see if I have already replied to a message received. Is that feature available in TB?

I use Thunderbird as a local archive for my email. I have two accounts in the application: my home email via my ISP (POP) which I predominately use and my gmail (IMAP) which I don't generally use. There are years of messages in folders and sub-folder under the POP account, but nothing under the IMAP.

I’m up to date with Thunderbird at v140.1.0esr (aarch64) on my iMac with Sequoia 15.8.

On 07/22/2025 I went to download some messages via my ISP POP account and saw that a whole bunch of my email folders no longer had any subfolders and were empty of any messages. Some were also duplicated. Please see the attached image.

I haven’t changed any settings in years, and I do not have any add-ins. One of the nice things about Thunderbird has been its solidity and simplicity.

After every session, I would empty my trash and compact.

Suddenly my email seems to be gone along with sub-folders while top level folders are duplicated.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Since I don't do anything fancy with the application and with the suddenness of this issue, I can't image I'm the only person having it? I’m quite concerned I may lose many years’ worth of messages.

For some reason, all my text has been showing up as bold on my Firefox web browser. However, the same sites do not appear as bold on the mobile Firefox app or in a private Firefox web browser.

While I thought it applied to many different fonts, it seems to specifically target Roboto. This is especially troublesome because my photography website has all body text as Roboto:

This was not always the case, but one day everything began appearing bold several weeks ago. Text that is italicized seems to stay in italics and not bold.

Hello, Firefox won't save my download history between sessions, history is set to remember. I tried doing the refresh on the installer and even reinstalling firefox and deleting all mozilla folders in %localappdata% and %appdata% before reinstalling. it just forgets all downloads once I close firefox.

My shortcuts no longer appear on my homepage. This just started happening. Shortcuts are still enabled in my settings. I refreshed Firefox. The shortcuts reappeared for a while, then disappeared again when I closed/reopened Firefox. I am on Windows 11 O/S

Since the last update the following error occurs: If I delete individual entries in the browser history, they don't stay deleted, hey are back after a while.

Is this a bug?

Please let me know how to get my favorite sites back on my home screen. I use them a lot as they are real time savers. When I signed on this morning, it asked if I wanted Firefox to access my computer. I've always said yes and the updates have never caused a problem - until today.

I would appreciate an email ([edited email from community support forum]) letting me know how to get this to work.

I am thinking of going back to Thunderbird as my e-mail program (I currently mostly use Apple Mail). I have several e-mail accounts. On my personal Gmail account, only a handful of sent messages are showing up in the sent mail folder. On another Gmail account and on my business Google Workspace account, I do not have that problem; as best I can tell, all the sent messages are there. I would appreciate help in fixing the problem on the main Gmail account that I use for personal matters.
