In the Firefox browser, when I am on a page with only an image, it seems like Firefox does not allow me to open the ctrl-f field to type text.

I want to use this on image pages, because there are times when I need to retrieve information from an image, like the title of a book from the image of a book cover, and it is much more convenient to type out the text in the same window (alternatives would be something like writing out the text on a piece of paper and then typing it after leaving the tab, or opening some other program where I can type text, or trying to memorize the text). If I type out the text in the url field it usually shows a bunch of dropdown text that covers the image and keeps me from being able to see what I'm typing, which is why I usually use the ctrl f field to type.

Is there a setting I can change that would allow me to use ctrl-f on pages that only have an image?

edit: the best alternative I can find is to open web developer tools in the page and use the ctrl f field within the web developer tools window

I assume Mozilla developers are working on this?

the website I log in for internet banking (https://www.sparkasse-rhein-maas.de/de/home.html) is shown as written in brackets when opened in Edge, but as www.sparkasse-rhein-maas.de/de/home.html when I open it in firefor. And Firefox tells me it's not safe when I want to log in.

BUT - as I've only just discovered when I copied and pasted it in here - when copied it shows as https://www.sparkasse-rhein-maas.de/de/home.html, so safe after all? How can that be? I hope there's a good explanation.

Hi, I have firefox on my desktop, and I want to watch the "10 App" - which is an Australian broadcasting tv channel - but it keep saying " an ad blocker is stopping the app from working" I also tried their website, and the same thing happens. I tried to check the extensions there is no ad blocker ! can you please advise me how to add permission to this particular app/website. ? and where do I find this adblocker ? thanks.

Okay. So I downloaded Firefox on my chromebook from flathub, but it keeps crashing. I open a new tab: it crashes. I close a tab: it crashes. I don't open or close anything: it crashes. I don't touch anything: it crashes.

I've says that either my theme or one of my add-ons is causing the crashes but I removed my theme and it still crashes and I can't remove any add-on because it crashes if I try to open a new tab.

Now, did/does anyone else have this problem or am I just stupid and missing a very obvious thing.

Hello I am 99% Mozzila user. But today, and it started from early in the morning, I cannot download a page or file like from my Yahoo email. Or if I go to a page to pay my bill I cannot download a page that I paid medical bill for instance. Downloads that ususaly take a second to appear in a new tab, or open in adobe are still downloading from like 7hrs ago. I cannot ev en stop downloading. I click on x's but it does not stop it. Also, I cannot print anything from Mozzila. It attempts to switch to print preview, a page appear just for fraction of a second and there is a circle of lines turning around for ever, but it never shows up to print. I was/am able to print something earlier and download, but it laggs now and nothing helps. I shut Mozzila, I restarted my laptop countless times, but it does not work. It does work on Google and I can print a word file or from Google

bold text whenever I go to a password needed site (account), firefox says passwords blocked and asks for a touch ID or a Firefox (?) password WHICH I DON'T HAVE. Can i change my Firefox password? If so, how??

Keep getting prompted to active VPN but every time I try it just keeps looping back to the sign in start pop up. The VPN button is always gray with an X even after sign in.

I try to compose an e-mail and the address appears from contact list but when you click on it to put in the address in displaces the first two letters and a cross in red. the adress does not work therfore and Ihave to typr it in every time. Very annoying if there are multiple p[eople to send the message t@!'

I'm really stumped and confused why this would be, but, I'm unable to sign in to my account on one of my devices, though I can access it from other devices.

I have a work computer and a personal computer. I want to have a profile on my personal computer signed into a an account I share on my work computer so I can easily access tabs and history across my these to devices that's separate from my main firefox account attached to my personal email. Got the profile signed in on my personal computer, went to sign in on my work computer and got a message "unexpected error." I attempted to disable the extensions and clear cache at the advice of one thread I saw from years ago but I really have had a heard time finding anyone with this issue at all.

When you roll (minimally) the mouse wheel, up or down, while using Google Sheets in Firefox (only!), it sends you all the way down to the end of the sheet. Do it again, and it won't move from that position. I have been asking this for a while. Seems like a minor bug, but it's PRETTY annoying for those of us who have the use of the mouse wheel as a second nature. So please, PLEASE, PLEASE , fix the bug!

I cannot add much to the description. I'll make the comment that having to look into the history to find a tab supposedly at hand is inefficient and a waste of time.

I am following directions that advise to go to Settings and change the option to open PDFs as individual files. Currently, they are opening as a Firefox tab. I have tried several times to make changes that stick, even rebooting. But PDFs still open in a tab.

Please help. Thank you.

I want to upload the current version of Firefox. However, the system Administrator (who is me) will mnot allow me to do so. How do I change settings to allow for the upload.
