Dear Philipp, I have reset, then uninstall - reinstall mozilla version 21 which according to website is the latest version but did not work. I still only see text even for mozilla website(attached). I do not encounter this issue with internet explorer.

Kind regards, Rianti

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Dear Cor-el, I have tried your advice, still did not work. Attached is what mozilla website looks like in safe mode after I disabled all add-ons extension and appearance. I have tried to upgrade to version 22 - still not working.

Kind regards, Rianti

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Dear Cor-el, based on your advice I have reported this issue to my antivirus customer care ( bit defender ) . After turning off one of the setting ( scan SSL ), mozilla works normally again now. Thank you very much for your support and assistance. Kind regards Rianti
