Put a border around the Firefox window

public34

I have issues discerning where each of my desktop windows are. To help with this I use gtk.css styling to add a border on all of my desktop windows. For some reason, Firefox does not draw this border.

Is there any way to apply a border around the Firefox window?

I was able to get a border around the navigation area of the browser by adding a userChrome.css file but I don't see any way to do the same thing for the whole window.

Can this be done in userChrome.css? Using gtk.css styling? Any other setting or file?

I am running Firefox 155.0.1 on Ubuntu Linux 26.04.1 LTS using the Gnome 50 desktop.

I found a solution...

Since I use Gnome, I looked for an extension and found "P7 Borders". That extension has allowed me to ensure that there is a border on all my window that I can see clearly.

This was the css I put into userChrome.css:

root,
  1. main-window,
  2. navigator-toolbox {
 border: 4px solid rgba(160, 80, 0, 0.8) !important;
 border-radius: 13px 13px 0px 0px;

}

Maybe this will give some idea https://askubuntu.com/questions/976030/how-to-enable-add-window-borders-in-17-10-18-04/980761#980761

That was helpful, but only let me add a border to the top and left sides. I couldn't find a way to get it to apply on the right or bottom sides of the window. Also, you need to enable the titlebar for even that to work.

It might be possible to do, but I can't find which selector(s) I should be modifying.
