Hi Justbe,

We measure it from the amount of data you consume with the content that you access through the Firefox built-in VPN. For example, if you access 5 different pages (with each page consume 5 MB), that means that you used 25 MB of the 50 GB quota that you have per month.

Hope that helps!

Hello Kiki, thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. May I ask one more please? Is Mozilla VPN Ubuntu 24.04. LTD, compatible?

Note the "built-in VPN" in desktop Firefox staring in rollout as of Fx 149.0 and later and the subscription based "Mozilla VPN" app are two different things. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/built-in-vpn

According to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-vpn-compatible-my-device the Ubuntu 24.0.4 is compatible with provided packages for "Mozilla VPN" app.

A shame that Mozilla is not serving Linux tarball versions of the "Mozilla VPN" app like they do with desktop Firefox.

I noticed the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-vpn-compatible-my-device and also the related https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-mozilla-vpn-ios needs to be updated as iOS 17.0 is the minimum now though not sure about what the minimum iPadOS is needed.

Though making edit attempts for this myself in the two kb articles is such a hassle now as changes like this is considered a major change and needs a Bugzilla ticket. This new red tape would be less of an issue (especially for non-staff kb contributors) if we could track such major changes in the Knowledge Base discussions instead of Bugzilla.
