Your Browser is being managed by your organization
I have Norton 360. I just reinstalled a brother printer and now I get the "Your browser is being managed by your organization". While I sync with my laptop, as others have said, I'm not an organization. There is an Enterprise policy .
Active Policy Name Policy Value ExtensionSettings {"firefoxhpsureclicksecurebrowsing@bromium.com":{"installation_mode":"blocked"},"firefoxhpwolfsecurityextension@bromium.com":{"install_url":"https://addons.bromium-online.com/wsx.xpi","installation_mode":"normal_installed"}}
I can't store or edit any bookmarks. How do I correct this? I need answers in very simple terms as I am very much a layman with computers. Thank You!

This is what HP Support says: (However, I Have not fixed my bookmarks, it did fix the browser being managed by organization). When asked if the Wolf Security needed to be removed from the BIOS to prevent it from re-installing at startup, HP advised the following and made a suggestion on the bookmarks.
HP Wolf Security does not need to be removed from BIOS HP Wolf Security components installed through Windows are separate from BIOS security features. There is nothing to remove in BIOS, and leaving BIOS security settings unchanged is correct. Confirm Wolf Security components are fully removed Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps and verify that items like: HP Wolf Security HP Wolf Security Application Support HP Security Update Service are no longer listed. Check Windows security policies that may remain Press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc (if available), and check: Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates. If policies remain from security software, they can cause the “managed by your organization” message. Reset Firefox policies (common fix) In Firefox, type about:policies in the address bar. If any policies are listed, they were likely created by security software. Then check: about:support → Refresh Firefox (this keeps bookmarks but resets settings). Check Firefox sync and profile state (bookmark issue) Open Firefox → Settings → Sync and confirm you’re signed into the correct account. Also check Bookmarks → Manage Bookmarks to see whether bookmarks exist but are not displaying. Verify Windows Security is active Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection and confirm protection is active. This ensures the system still has security coverage after removing Wolf Security. Important note: HP Wolf Security installed on consumer systems is software-based endpoint protection, not firmware-level security. Removing it from Windows is sufficient, and no BIOS changes are required. The Firefox “managed by your organization” message typically comes from leftover browser policy entries created by security software, which can persist even after uninstalling. I hope this helps.

Just to clearup what is happening here.
HP Wolf Security is using a mechanism that is intended for enterprises to install their Wolf Secure Browsing Extension.
Because of this, Firefox is displaying a message that Firefox is being managed.
There is no harm in this message being displayed, but that is the reason.
I don't think they should be using this mechanism; they should be asking users to install it, but they chose to do it this way.
I made an edit to the above post to clarify why I posted the original question about my browser being managed by my organization when I don't have an organization. As I tried each suggestion, I tried to post the results and other suggestions I received.
I was advised that my antivirus was creating a conflict in the policies and to delete them. They kept coming back until I realized Wolf Security was the problem.
Even though I can now make some changes in the browser, I still cannot manage the bookmarks- can't create, edit, delete and some other settings.
This is unique to the one machine that had Wolf Security on it. I cannot sync the bookmarks and some other browser settings with my laptop. My husband without Wolf on either of his machines never had this happen.
Since I have not been able to fully correct the situation, I will have to use a local computer tech company.
Hi,
For bookmarks, take a look at Can't add, change or save bookmarks - How to fix. If the issue is indeed caused by your antivirus, the article may not help, but it's worth a try at least.
