I bought a new computer 7-1-25 with Windows 11 Pro. Why do you have it listed as Windows 10? Is someone else using my account? Please verify!

Where is your computer listed as Windows 10?

I also have a new computer with windows 11 on it and so wont be using Windows 10. Will that be a problem?

Hi Mary,

That shouldn't be a problem at all. Sometimes services (including, unfortunately, Mozilla ones) get confused by the general Windows version name, Windows NT, which refers to both Windows 10 and Windows 11. That's just a visual bug though, and it should not influence any processes.

When Windows 11 was first released, Mozilla decided to stick with Windows 10 in the browser's self-description to websites, known as the "user agent string." Maybe someday Windows 10 will be so rare that people get warnings from sites that they aren't going to support Windows 10 any longer, but for now, keeping a consistent description helps you blend in with the crowd just a little bit more.
