When signing up or creating accounts on various sites, the validation that "I'm not a robot" (in all its various forms) has stopped appearing on the Firefox browser. I have to switch to a different one to complete. Anyone else with this problem? How do I fix it?

Hi, please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.

then

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

If is your Profile :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi sglecco, have you checked whether it might be due to a content blocker? These are some common things we see:

(1) Built-in Tracking Protection feature (especially in private windows).

Do you see a shield icon toward the left end of the address bar next to the lock icon when this problem hits? More info on how to use the shield to manage blocking: What happened to Tracking Protection?.

(2) Content blocking extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix.

These extensions usually provide toolbar buttons to manage blocked content in a page, so that's the first thing to try.

If necessary, you can view, disable, and often configure or remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything that could be blocking content? If in doubt, disable.

Any improvement?

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, #Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

  • make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

You see the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case content is blocked by Tracking Protection.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection
  • check the Web Console for more detail about what content is blocked by Tracking Protection
  • "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer

I appreciate your help; I did not try the above as I'm not sure what a "profile" is... I backed it up as you suggested prior to the reset but now that the reset did not work; I'm not exactly sure how to implement this 2nd part. I'm not sure what "Extensions" are...

Extensions can add extra features to Firefox. "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions
