Phantom Bookmark Tooltip

On Windows 8.1, after minimizing Firefox, I sometimes get "phantom" book tooltips.

Is there some what to fix this or is it a bug.

It's annoying though it doesn't cause problems per se.

I can provide a screenshot of this if you want.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
