My Macbook Pro's Firefox has a convenient bookmark toolbar, my Mac Air's FireFox does not. Can I find a setting on the latter to restore my settings from the former?

To control when the bar displays, see: Bookmarks Toolbar - Display your favorite websites at the top of the Firefox window.
The "browser.toolbars.bookmarks.visibility" preference normally does not sync. It may be possible to set it to sync between your different browsers, but since changing the bar's visibility is pretty quick, I'm not sure that is worth experimenting with.
