I am trying to add my outlook.com account to Thunderbird, but I keep receiving an authentication error. The authentication process initially appears to work correctly: I am redirected to the Microsoft sign-in page, I successfully log in, and I grant Thunderbird the requested permissions to access my Outlook account.

After completing the Microsoft authentication successfully, I am returned to Thunderbird (image 1). However, when I click “Continue”, Thunderbird reports an authentication error (image 2).

I have already tried several troubleshooting steps: - clearing/resetting cookies, saved credentials, and permissions both in Thunderbird and on the Microsoft account side; - repeating the entire setup process from scratch several times; - testing the same account on two completely different PCs, with exactly the same result; - confirming that IMAP is enabled for the account; - checking the Microsoft account sign-in and authentication settings.

I also contacted Microsoft Support, and they stated that they could not find any issue with the account.

What makes this particularly strange is that another Microsoft account ending in hotmail.it, using the same IMAP/SMTP settings and OAuth2 authentication, can be added to Thunderbird without any problem. The issue therefore appears to be specific to this particular outlook.com account.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Are there any logs, advanced settings, or additional troubleshooting steps I can use to determine why the OAuth login appears to complete successfully, but Thunderbird then fails with an authentication error?

Buongiorno, dopo l'invio della posta non succede più come prima che il messaggio inviato compare nella cartella in posta inviata. Nell'incertezza dell'invio si procede a inviare nuovamente il messaggio ma sempre senza vederlo comparire nella posta inviata. Grazie

Con l'ultimo aggiornamento (157.0.1) sono stati disattivati tutti i calendari che avevo sincronizzato con il mio cellulare, con perdita di tutti i dati storici. E' prevista una modifica a breve?

Stavo scrivendo un messaggio di posta da spedire e avrei voluto allegare un file .pdf, ma il tasto in alto a destra non funziona e non mi consente di allegare nulla; non dipende dal tipo di file e nemmeno dalla dimensione, proprio non permette di allegare nulla! Potreste aiutarmi, grazie, Virginia

Buongiorno, non riesco ad allegare un file quando compongo un nuovo messaggio di posta elettronica. Cliccando in alto a destra su allega file, non si apre la finestra nella quale dovrei selezionare il file da aggiungere

Nella cartella Posta in arrivo sono presenti messaggi (vedo il contatore) che rimangono visibili solo qualche minuto. Poi spariscono e non li trovo nelle altre sottocartelle, ma solo in Tutti i messaggi (ma neanche tutti). Qualcuno ha qualche suggerimento su cosa controllare ? Grazie

Salve, improvvisamente il pulsante "Allega" nella finestra di composizione del messaggio non risponde più ai clic (non apre la finestra di dialogo di Windows per scegliere i file). Prove già effettuate senza successo:Eliminazione del file xulstore.json dal profilo. Impostazione di ui.use_native_dialogs sia su true che su false nell'Editor di configurazione. Modificata la cartella di salvataggio predefinita degli allegati in Impostazioni > Generale (impostata su Desktop). Riavviato sia Thunderbird che il sistema operativo.Il trascinamento dei file (drag & drop) funziona regolarmente, ma il pulsante grafico "Allega" rimane completamente bloccato. Vi chiedo un supporto per ripristinare il selettore file.

Il selettore di file improvvisamente ha smesso di aprirsi cliccando sul pulsante Allega. Riporto di seguito info utili per la risoluzione del problema:

I am unable to attach files (no matter the format) to emails. Upon clicking on "attach" function no window appears to select the file. Operating system is W11. I have checked the box "use as admin" is selected in tools/settings menu.

Salve, il tasto "allega" all'interno della composizione email ha smesso di funzionare, cliccandolo non succede nulla, non segnala errori e non funziona neache la scorciatoia da tastiera. Ho resettato le impostazioni dei tasti/icone, ho reinstallato il programma sovrascrivendolo ma continua a non funzionare. Ringrazio in anticipo eventuali aiuti a supporto.
